Anyone Wanna Make A Mod To Balance Res Gain?

<div class="IPBDescription">(In low number games)</div> Basic steps:
1. Get friends and fill a server. Find out about how much res an alien gains per second per res node in a 7-8 player game (i.e. 16 players, 8 on each team).
2. Override the code they have now and set it so res towers so they no longer spit out res to a pool, which then goes to the people who need it.
3. Set it up so each alien gains res at the same rate as they would if they had a team of 8.
The idea is if you have 2 aliens on a team and 2 marines. The aliens are going to gain TONS of res because the res nodes are spitting it out so fast. If a plugin can slow this down to match the average rate in a well balanced game...then smaller games will be much more viable for a marine victory.
Currently a 3 on 3 game means the marines are doomed...period. If the marines succeed a shotty rush they can win. And if the aliens are complete idiots or noobs then they may pull a win. But its very unlikly if for no other reason then the aliens have enough res to go onos in about 5 minutes before the marines can even get upgrades.
I was going to attempt to program this but I believe its to much trouble to download and read through all the code and such. It seems like such a simple change, and with Halflife 2 comming out soon...I just don't see the need to put the effort into it <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->

That the resources that would be added changed to the same rate that they would get with a larger number of people drawing from the pool.
How much slower? Slow enough to make all 3 people gain res at the same rate as they would if there were 8 people.
Ex. Lets say there are 8 aliens and 1 res tower. Each alien gains 1 res every 5 seconds. They build 3 more res towers for a total of 4. Now each alien gains 1 res ever 2 seconds.
If there are 3 aliens and 1 res tower then each alien gains 2 res every 5 seconds. With 4 res towers each alien gains 3 res every 2 seconds. Meaning that currently, in a small game, aliens have TONS of res.
What my suggestion is is to reduce the speed based no number of players. That way if there are 3 aliens they each gain 1 res every 5 seconds with 1 tower and 1 res every 2 seconds with 4 towers.
Does that clear it up?
Currently if you have 3 on 3 then marines have little chance. For the most part aliens have 2 hives with third building and enough res for 2 of the 3 to go onos before the marines can afford any decent upgrades. And because most games end with a massive amount of people leaving the server...most games begin with very few people. Thus the game starts most of the time with an unbalanced res source...which hurts marine. Hence why many peopel feel marines suck.
