Internet Disconnecting Every 5 Minute

<div class="IPBDescription">I'm dreading the phone bill...</div> Ok somebody help me....

My connection keeps shutting off every 5 minutes...

1.) When I went to bed everything was working fine
2.) I was torrenting a file during the night
3.) My computer doesn't get touched until I wake up.

Is it a problem my end, a virus, or my ISP being stupid...

I think it's my ISP being stupid...

    Make sure the option (under your modem properties) for disconnecting while idle isn't set on 5 minutes...It's happend to me before when I was computer-illiterate....

    It's not my fault. My computer is setup to run perfectly.

    What happened was the credit card that the account was under had expired, so rather than send me an email saying "Hey, buddy. Update your card details." They just sat there disconnecting me every 6 minutes.

    Don't cut off my account completely.

    Just let it keep **** dialing and racking up a huge **** phonebill you **** ****
