2 years ago everyone at my school tried to break dance and do that thing with their hands and wave glowsticks around and whatnot, that always seemed a bit useless to me, because whenever I saw em do it they were never actually on anything. And plus the leader of teh rave posse hated my guts and made everyone else hate me. I had a wooden broom stick, I took a cut up T-shirt, soaked it in lighter fluid. it's a dark night and the bonfire is almost dead. I take a friends zippo, light the tip. Fwoosh, fire, then I can make it a really smooth fluidity twirling. I just wish I had an actual blade staff such as Onimusha 1 or 2, I'd get good at that shiznit.

I just made up moves after that. um, what you have to keep in mind, is to have one hand following the other always. most of the stuff you see me doing is just variations on the figure 8. for example I might make the figure 8 using my arms (thus getting a really large one), or I might make the two circles parallel to each other (one on top of the other) which looks pretty cool.
The move that that picture is taken of (about at the beginning of the video) is really a fig-8 where my right hand travels to my left shoulder after doing the bottom half of the 8. then the left hand follows, and then I do another fig8 on my left shoulder.
other moves I incorporate are double-helixes, this is basically the same thing as when you do that dumb dance where your two fists just revolve around each other alot, but you hold your hands vertical instead and it's much shorter. Hard to explain in words but you would know what I'm talking about if you saw me do it.
and another fun thing to do is surprise your audience, for example, you could suddenly stop one of your hands as the other one still does the movement, and then picks it up... another fun thing is covering up one of the sticks by clamping your hand over it, or hiding it behind your back/leg/head. also if you practice it you can liquid in reverse, currently I can only do a fig8 in reverse because I'm a righty and you need to be a lefty to really get it down <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
I'm not so great with strings, I only have 3 moves really (sideways 8, vertical 8, butterfly). there are some people with strings who will freaking make your jaw drop and you cant move it.
Unfortunately i dance. I rarely can dance, i probably look like an idiot, but i don't care.
Most of the time i dance it's using to hard industrial, techno, hard house, hard trance, hardcore, gabba, whatever, as long as it's got a hard beat behind it, i'm there. One thing about the whole raver or cyber style of dancing that bugs me is that most people don't put their whole body into it, which is a shame, seeing someone standing there going "bigfish-littlefish-cardboardbox" constantly without barely moving is annoying since i'm usually out there, my whole body moving in time with my arms pounding the air, glowsticks in hand. And all of that in <a href='http://deus.org.uk/files/New%20Shoe.jpg' target='_blank'>4" platforms</a> too. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Other than that, i love dancing at shows. It changes the whole show from being a part of the audience into being part of the music. I'll never forget my times circle-pitting to Pennywise just as i'll not forget my times arm in arm with total strangers doing high-kicky-dance-thingy to the Mad Caddies (The song Monkeys, if you've heard it, you know what i mean). I've spent so much time dancing and having a great time.

There ain't nothin more fun than doing a little jig whilest my favorite band plays a pirate chanty (and they do, very often in fact) and that usually either 1)turns into a jig battle where 2 people just start jiggin at each other until they meat and start beating each other up with jigs, or 2)A random skinhead grabs my arm and we start do-si-do-in. When everyone else is in a cirlce pit this stands out like a sore thumb and is absolutely the coolest thing ever.
