Personaly I'd like to be a marine, but a friend and I agreed that we'd play 1 on 1 on our little private server first to get a feel for the game and such so he'll mmost likely be a marine and I'll be a lone Alien

It seems to me like the marines have more toys to play with, so I'll probably start with them, even if I have to get pushed around. I'm not going near the commie mode until I'm practiced up, though. well, usually im going to join whatever team is losing- in my experience its alot more fun to be fighting on the underdog team, and victory is all the more sweet...

but my favourite race will always be humans, seeing as I am one <img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'>. marines it is.

If we were allowed to speculate, I'd speculate that I'd be playing as Marines by this time tommorow. But since we aren't, I think I'll be playing as Marines whenever the game is released.

This is interesting because in your average HL mod the difference in the two teams is a color and maybe a couple of guns, but in this one depending on which team you're on, you'll be playing a completely different style. I can't really decide, at first I thought I would want to be a marine because it just seems like the more appealing choice(to fight against evil, to sort of be in a good monster horror movie), but something about hunting them down, hiding in the dark, attacking them in swarms just makes the alien team seem to cool of an expierence to pass up.

I will command as long as there is a team in need of guidance. Once we get people trained in the ways of the commie (er . . . ), I will be fine being a grunt. AS LONG AS YOU DROP ME A SHOTTY!. Remember that, people. If you are commanding and I am on your team, even if you have HMGs and Grenade Launchers at your disposal, all I want is a shotty. I will play lvl 1 a bit too. Ambushing marine squads and rending them limb from limb NEVER gets old. Oh, with a few stints as level 2 for some strategiv web and tower laying.

I will play on whatever team auto team puts me on. And if it puts me on a team giving it more players than the other which happens sometimes for some reason I'll switch. If I'm marine I'll work my way up to become a jetpack madman with a shotgun. As an alien I'll try to work my way to blinky.

Any time I can (when teams are not unreasonably uneven) I will play as aliens.

I doubt on a pub the marine team would play as much of a team as I would like (I get angered when people are not working with the team). At least as a lvl2 I can help my team without dealing with them TOO much. I doubt at release there will be any 'Skilled big brothers'.

Most likely people will be screaming for weapons, not giving a shizzle about turrets or Resource points of the team, and run off on their own and try and be Rambos to fill there overly large egos like they do in counter-strike.

Anywho, don't expect your first NS experience to be all that great unless you're an alien.. really. -_-

I somehow feel that I will develop a liking for the Alien Builder. I just love building things.

I would play Commander, but somehow it looks like he will be the number 1 target to put all blame for failure on, and I can live without that.

Ill play marines, but ill try to get commander on my 1st game. I just love bossing people around and telling them to go kill some aliens. Besides, i plan on keeping the marine base always stocked full of donuts....

I will play either team.

After carefully (and I mean carefully, I forget nothing and absorb everything) studying all information, throwing out that which I know is invalid, I have decided that I will be a commander whenever the chance arrives. I will haul ### to the command station to secure it. I don't think there will be much of a fight as I can see the commander's role daunting to many first-person-shooter players.

I have also formulated many stratagies and exploits as aliens and intend on testing them all. When I find one that works, (trust me, I will) I'll come in here and share it.

Then jump back online and exploit them some more.
