<div class="IPBDescription">the beginning.</div> wow!, I just couldnt resist to start building a NS map when I saw the maps Sanitarus and Mazion.
They are both very cool~ maps! Oh well here is my new map called ns_plasma (tell me if the name is already taken).
Ive used wall textures from ns_remix.wad by neale talbot and some floor texes from v_wad.wad by Mark "Fam" James.

    Wow nice screenshots! The design is something diffrent witch i like, but maybe a alittle cramped (You gonna have many marines running around) but i havent played it so im not sure.. The textures are nice too, but i think you should go for a lighting theme. I can see about 5 diffrent light colours ..

    Its different I give you that. Aestetically pleasing too. A few points of constructive criticism with some solutions though:

    Marine Spawn: Command Chair has only one way into it, if its block it will be very hard to change commander. Onos won't be able to get up that ladder and attack the comm chair by the looks of it too.
    Solution: Right below where the comm chair is between those two windows make a wide enough path for an onos to get into and add an elevator or something that can go up to the commander chair. I like the ceiling architechture so I'd recommend raising it if you like the idea.

    Last Picture: Make the yellow plasma spike move! It looks static.

    On the whole, very good and nice start.

    That looks great. The MS start really looks like what I pictured NS marine starts to be.

    I might be straying a little off topic here but it goes to show the way the map has been created in a much more spectacular way than first appeared. When I first click on "ns_plasma" did anyone think it would be using the sort of wall_lab texture set that ns_eclipse uses? (as eclipse is also based around plasma)

    yeah gotta follow the crowd with this one and say what a different and refreshing map.

    The CC might need a change tho as the only way up is the ladders which may get annoying for both teams.

    But I really like the textures used.

    Not much done expect widing the rooms and hallways + adding a lightning effect coming from the top window.

    The only new stuff is this core area. First i wanted to make "the things" look like plasma balls
    with beams inside them. But I decided to stay with the "electric pulse" theme i started with.

    mm i like alot the set of textures and the arquitecture as i already said. I think in the 1º shot i can see a env_glow used at the red lights....its nice but i think you will eventually remove it cause of the new entity limit set to 200 recommended and 300 as a top.

    Because I dunno how many entities this map will have in the end.
