I Can Make Stuff "magically" Dissapear!

Okay, one round on ns_veil, I was playing marines, and we managed to cap Nanogrid and placed tfac, turrets, etc. All was going well, until the buildings started exploding into bits and peices before our very eyes. Luckily we have MT by then, and of course, there were blips popping up from UNDER nano. So I grabbed a jp, and when down there and what do I find? GORGES.
Yeah, turns out that they were bile bombing the stuffing of Nano from underneath using bile bombs. The splash damage was capable of going through the floor, and thus solve this mystery. Soon after, arguements arose on how its so exploiting and such.
So, is this considered an exploit or should this be perfectly fine? I mean, good gawd, the only way to counter this is by using jps, or GLs...but still, people who don't know about this could cost them a game or two, and people who do it are really cheap ****.

I've been killed by my own grenades after firing them down a vent.
I've been killed by grenades that bounce past me, and 10 feet down a vertical shaft. (Incidently, from the same shaft that opens into the double node point)
This is no more exploiting then grenade killing like that, simply because the NS team hasn't gotten around to a fix yet.
BTW: Is Nano the dbl node point?

Then so is that. This happens to me constantly. Almost always when I'm bilebombing from the vent at the double node on Veil. The grenades will clatter down the vent BEHIND me (I'll even see them down there), they explode, and somehow I die.
Perhaps this feature was forgotten and overlooked as NS was upgraded, and was no longer taken into consideration in map making?
I'm not against splash damage, but I don't think it would make sense that people were able to do damage THRU walls. Maybe they should either take away that damage effect, or tweak the maps to make better use of this...
Bilebombing through the floor is an exploit because you are intentionally doing it. But killing some guy in a vent even though the nade was far away isn't, IMO, because the firer didn't intend it.
IMHO the vents should be adjusted so that you can't shoot through walls.

Actually, if the marine is shooting grenades at a gorge in a vent, then it most likely is his intention to kill the gorge. If not, there would be no reason to fire grenates at the gorge in the first place.
Anyway, despite the fact that I play Kharaa most often, I do think that it is pretty cheap to BB through the floor upwards. It is a nice counter to all the cheap maneuvers that the Marines have, but it is still cheap nonetheless. Perhaps increasing the thickness of the floor would prevent such attacks.
Yes it is

I assume you're referring to the bilebomb from below, but will grenades be fixed as well?

Yes, they're both the same problem.

not to offend you or anything
But purely for discussions sake... do you mean you are against siege cannons as well?

I don't know if this works, but have you tried firing grenades onto the floor above where the Gorge is positioned?

Yes, it can be sieged from either of the small rooms with weldable vents just outside marine start.
