and Last man standing
Its NSPlayers distinct pleasure to announce the Inaugral Season of the NSPlayer.com open league, NSPL for short. The league will be split into 4 divisions, each containing randomly assigned clans. These divisions will then be checked to ensure that they are not overly unbalanced. It will be point based with draws included, Yes thats right no more 4 second time wins!.
At the end of the regular season the clans total points will be tallied and the top 2 teams will move onto a double elimination tournament. Exact details on how the ties will be resolved will be released closer to the date, but we believe it shall incorporate a combination of time and score. If a method cannot be found that will resolve drawn games effectively, we will use a finals league setup like the earlier divisions to determine the winner.
Depending on team numbers, each season will run for a total of 12-15 weeks. Sign ups are open now and will close initially on the 20th of September with first matches beginning the week following the 28th of September. Divisions will be announced on the 21st of September. Remember that your clan will need to be signed up to the NSPlayer clans section before signing into the tournement. For any help with this please contact any one of the admins.
If this wasn't enough to get you going, I am also pleased to announce that NSPlayer will be running another fun tournament to fill in the time between NSP-i and NSPL. Last man standing.

Your command console is down, you've lost your reinforcements, you only have 1 choice. Survive. The team splits up and prepares individually to hold out as long as they can to give a chance for further sectors to prepare themselves for the Kharra onslaught.

This will be ran as a single player tournament. You will be a marine in an NS map and a team of skulks (NSPlayer admins + CDT will fill this role) will hunt you. One minute will be given to hide, and then the kharra will hunt. The last marine left alive wins that round and moves on to the next. (Marines will not have IP's or any upgrades, Aliens will have only one hive and will not use parasites or chambers of any kind). Last man standing will start on the 15th of September with regostrations closing on the 10th of September.
