So what happened between all the time I died when I was waiting in queue? I got to observe my fellow <i>team</i>mates COMPLETELY IGNORE both me, the hive, and the constant death spam from me as I was the SOLE DEFENDER of the hive. I got to watch 3 gorges just walk around, spitting at each other, and build RTs while we lost the game.
How often does this happen? Roughly 2 out of 3 games. No one defends. Everyone completely ignores the hive like it's all a big joke. I cannot go one day without this happening.
What is this 'Retard Epidemic' that's sweeping NS? If you aren't going to play with a team, GET OFF IT.

A good thing to do when you're angry is to get a Jack-O-Lantern and stick a knife in it. Put it on the doorstep of the person you hate, attach a note that says, "This is you." There, you feel a lot better and no harm is done.

Yes, I've seen it too, countless times. Infact I think I'm cursed because 4 out of 5 alien teams don't at all listen to one another, res hoard and never put down res.
It's shocking, but I think it's the way it is, there's a lot of new players coming in, and the overbalance of aliens gives people ideas of god like pwoer that they really don't have. Ah well, we have to live with it.

I would think up of a solution though it could harm the aliens. You could have at a hive attack some kind of sporadic shaking of the screen accompanied with some vision blur, which would mean the hive is getting harmed and it needs help. To help the fighters, eventually lessen the shake/blur the closer you are to the hive.
And to enforce teamwork I would go for a mob powering effect similar to the red guards/battlemasters from C&C:Generals, though weakening lone guys would mean less independance (and thus less alienlike behavior) and giving too much of a boost would be too much for marines to handle. Once again, perhaps the effect dissipates when you are further from a hive?

Just so you know, players who are alive cannot read the text written from players who are dead. A Living player can hear a dead player's voicecomm, but they cannot read a dead player's text, so theres a good chance that they never got to read a majority of your text.

Sure its annoying when you're a team player, but you can't expect sunshine all the time. Not much can be done - you get hoarders on every sever.
So, my solution? Take a break and kick a football around. Or buy up broken china, so that you can smash it all the more when you meet idiots.

I tend to stick to a few I know and love, and 80% of the time on them I'll be accompanied by decent, teamplaying folk who play together constructively.

Yeah I know this annoys the hell out of me. The moron whisting the super mario song can keep doing so after his death but I can't relay a message via text (when I play there are people sleeping in the next room, no voicecom for me) while I'm in the queue.
Seriously though Teflon, find a better server. If this is happening 2 out of 3 games then something is wrong. VERY wrong.
Most good server take teamwork seriously and have admins to help remove the nubcaeks. although i did think it was odd my hive neva told me that there was stuff going on just outside it. really i think the hive needs to be treated more of a living thing like the aliens comm like it should be. not just a healing spawn station.
still, we ended up winning. a couple of us just saved all res for onos. sweeped the outpost away, destroyed their main base. they reloc to hvie they had, we took that. comm used distress and they all spawned where old base was, u know as u do with distress. they then build ips there got some shottys and stuff but we killed em. I must have had ate about 15 shottys that game and about 1 hmg.
