<div class="IPBDescription">first unrevised version released</div> Here is my newest work in its unrefined and unedited form. There isn't much cosmetic decoration and it obviously isn't perfect. As the first version, this guide will be subjected to changes in the future. It lacks extensive technical details and some sections definitely need to be worked on. This is only the text portion of the entire project, which may enclude demos and diagrams - although if it is to go that far, I'll need a lot of help.
At the moment, it seems as though not many people acknowledge me as being worthy of writing such a guide. Hopefully, by releasing this first version I will get more feedback, suggestions, criticisms, and <i>maybe even some assistance</i>.
While only a few have contributed to this guide, I'd like to thank them nonetheless. Perhaps in future versions I will come up with a good credits list.

However, if you have the patience to read it, it's a VERY good guide. I haven't read the entire thing myself, but I guarantee you'll learn something new from the guide <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->.
Extremly good job
Nice work Sarisel. I'm sure this will instruct many in the art of Lerking, and aid those who struggle; furthermore I look forward to its expansion (hopefully with information from more contributors).
Very good job!
Next guide. Try to use a easier language.
It felt like I was reading a report from a university. although i understood everything.
What format is this in, so I can get the proper converter?
I'll see if I can get more formats for the next version. Probably the format that would work best for everybody would be the common webpage's - *.html.
What I posted in this topic was just a rough first version. A much better and revised version should be ready by next week, with some fixes and additions. So for the next version I will see if I can use .html.
I like playing lerk a lot myself since 2.0, Id usually go lerk over onos or fade (after doing my usual work as a gorge early game, i usually gorge for an RT, go skulk, get 50 res, go gorge, build hive, go skulk, then do my job as a grunt, and defending where needed if i feel like staying gorge), the only thing that a lerk finds hard to taking out base's and HA's, any LA or JP'er is usually quite easy for a lerk (even JP HMG is quite easy usually).
If you want something to add to your guide, try giving more flight advice, as its what makes a lerk really shine and hsould be focus'd on more.
The things I would like to see in future versions would be:
? Air-to-air combat: How to go up against those pesky jetpackers if you can't spore them to death...
? Lerks versus HA: More on how to combat heavy armored marines and live. Perhaps something about fly-by spikings and such.
? Lerk pack tactics: How to be efficient with many leks in a group, which roles can you take, what are the most important functions to get covered.
? Hive defense: How to defend the hive in the best possible way. When should you use umbra to cover the hive, when to cover your teammates, when do you attack directly or use primal scream. Perhaps just some pointers or new and exciting tactics.
These are just suggestions, I think the guide is very good as it is. If you need help with a specific topic, just let me know. If I can't say anything intelligent about it (and I probably can't) I am sure I can ask one of the expert lerkers of my clan to do it.
I can put the values in the guide itself, but they're not really that useful. As you know, when you're playing the game you're either dead or alive. You won't really be counting the number of bullets that are hitting you. They're more trivial than practical.
