I want to know how to
I want to be able to change the alien and marine HUD colors. I can change the upper HUD, but I can't figure out how to change the color of the HP, and armour numbers.
I used search, and I found a few things, but they were really old, and all the links and pics were dead.
The hud is generic, and is used for both aliens and marines, and the color changed by the game somehow, so I can't just replace the sprites with colored ones.
Any help would be greately appreciated, thanks

cl_hudcolor xxx xxx xxx
something like that i think
I'd -love- to have my hud turned red! I remember in 1.0 I changed it to red, but ingame it appeared pink.
What's the numbers for red? Anybody happen to know?
so red would be cl_hudcolour 255 0 0, or some variant to make it light-red or something
that console command is not recognised, so it aint much use. but the values where the xxx xxx xxx are, are rgb values. So to get pure red, you would put 255 0 0.
Thanks for the help, but does anyone else know anything?
no... it turned pink cuz its semi transparent

I always wanted a red hud like that.
Also, why I think it turned pink might be because of the transparancy as you mentioned, and the gamma. Doesn't really matter now, though, seeing as I can change the pretty thing
but what I really want to know, as stated in my original post, is how to change the color of armor/hp sprites!!
Well, hmmf, they should make it so the aliens and marines use different hud sprites that way not only could they be customised, but the aliens and marines could have text styles more befitting of each species....
Changing the last 3 colors on the palette didn't change much. Only the text on the HE and Flashbang grenades.
I was hoping that there was a text file or something somewhere that specified the color that the game chooses dor each teams HUD. Maybe I should just email Flayra, he might be the only on with the answer
