Learn anything? Me neither!

My point is I hate it when people tell someone to do this. "Oh Marines are really good it's just people don't use enough teamwork and don't anticipate what the enemy is going to do!"

Thankfully, entire essays have been written detailing and explaining these concepts to actual practical use. In both 'Frontiersman Strategy' and 'Kharra Strategy', the good advices are stickied. Yes, I also get annoyed when people get one-word answers to questions on how to better teamplay.

One simple example for those who don't read Khraa or Marine strategy topics.

Lets say that com divides his group to maingroup and one scout. Main group keeps pushing to a key location (holoroom, cargo what ever is in that map). Scout sneaks at the other end of map building RTs when marines and aliens use their energy to slaughter each others.

    <b>- Communication is the key.</b>

If an alien goes scouting (there should be always one looking
for marine turrets) it could inform whole team what is happening.

Commander should tell to marines to try to pressure aliens to distract
most aliens from RT farming elsewhere.

    <b>- Learn to adapt</b>

As a com or aliens you assault team might loose first combat, but
battle continues. Is it better to build defences now since your team
got owned or should you try to push trough? <!--emo&--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Should you save for onos/ha in this game?

    <b>- Anticipate</b>

If you see something very obvious, is this what here's really
happening or is this just a someting to take your attention from
    siege building?

Basic example for anticipation is skulks waiting at the ceiling in
    unexpected locations.

    <b>- Use teamwork.</b>

Well this is the key element in this game. Nuff said. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    <b>- Plan ahead</b>

As a com or alien, try to think new strategies. Think what you are
going to do when your team gets owned. What things you can do to
    have a successful rebound?

Always give ideas to the team - ideas that can be accomplished.

Plan how to win a game if you lost last one. Why did you loose?
What was lacking in your tactics and strategy? <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    <b> * * * *</b>

    If this post was a joke then I didn't see the smiley. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
So here are few advices to those who didn't read tactics.

And if you didn't learn anything - think, use your brains. This isn't supposed to be a game that depends on reflexes. It doesn't matter how good you are with a gun if you are going solo and you face team of aliens. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
