flayra is definatly trying to work some kinda political ideas into natural selection, for what ends we can only speculate..
if the aliens are the communists, the res from res towers represents the payment for work from the state, a fair share for every man.
the gorgs represent the average workers who make the system work, while the skulk (with their increased rfk rate) are like the state in early communist russia, giving orders to the working class (build me DCs, make a hive!!!111)..
then the marines must be a capitalist democracy, due to the voting... all earnings are feed back into the government (rfk = tax) before being distributed among the people in services and support (guns)...
see it turns out natural selection 2.0 is a subtle propaganda designed to show communisms superiority over capitalism... and all this time you thought it was about aliens and marines...

i really like the idea of trying to claim NS is about communism verus capitalism tho, a much nicer ring to it...
what if aliens were capitalist, because res from towers is state support (like the dole) and RFK is free market trade.
then that way the evolutions and res for kills come into play, cos onos kill more than skulk, the rich get richer, while the poor just get by, it kinda works...

The alien resource economy was communist in that the gorges, with the greater good in mind, would put down resource towers (and defend them), and all income from those were equally shared among the aliens (well I guess except the gorges, you could see them as the industrial workers/farmers being given more so they can produce more for the greater good)
And marines were: the foot soldiers are told what to build, where to build, by the commander, all RPs goto commander (dictator) who should dispense said resources in the way he feels best.
2.0, aliens are more capitalist now, how RFK works. Every alien works for himself, more successful aliens get more RPs, allowing them to evolve (become corporation?) and then gain more...
while marines are now corrupt-communist, meaning they all contribute to the resource pool in ways that they choose (RFK), which a central government (commander) distributes (but not always equally).
