Got any Answers?
Ok here they are :
1) I have a 24 man pub which we are getting tired of the old NS Maps. I have added some custom ones, but during the downloads of other clients, the server hicups. Meaning everyone lags for 1/3 Seconds. I could, stop all downloads but I would prefer not too. Do you know of a way to stop this lag?
2) Many times in 2.0 many commands build way to many turrets in a cetrain area, can I limit this down?
3) The PhaseGate Plug in in 2.0 Sends Unknown as Each place when Phasing, Does anyone know of an update for this yet?
Thanks for any answers you can provide.

1) Besides stopping downloads, I do not know how to take care of the lag spikes. What is strange however is, theoretically speaking, your server uploads VERY SLOWLY to its clients new maps so it shouldn't lag that much. Well, to stop downloads, just turn the sv_allowdownload (no "s" at the end) to 0 and you'll be fine
2) YES! Get the Buildlimit Metamod plugin by Voogru at www.voogru.com/files. You can restrict the number of mines, comm chairs, turrets, and sieges on any map.
3) No patch as of yet I think ... plus there isn't anyway that you can really patch it ... I mean how are you supposed to fix the Unknown names places ... make up random names?
Good luck!
but of course a plugin was just released that does as he asks found in this thread: http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/in...=ST&f=8&t=44546
For the Phase Gate Plugin, I can put the Phase in any room and it reads Unknown, Even at marine start. Thought some one updated it.

1/ Yes, your mapcycle can be set to deny downloads when a custom map is loaded and allow them when the next regular map is run. An extract from our mapcycle. Works a treat.

You will require a consgreet telling people where to get the map.
2/ There is a buildlimit plugin andSilicon linked you to it but it wont stop the comm building it will just make them useless. :/
3/ I think that plug was by [WHO]Them wasn't it? He has a login here and made a recent post regarding the modns.org site. Report the problem direct to him and he might be good enough to fix it.
