- VALVe Anti-cheat support (VAC)
- Many balance improvements (slightly reduced the power of aliens at hive 2, lessened some marine costs, fixes for long end-games, etc.)
- 1-2 new maps from the community
- 3rd-person marine reload animations (hoping this will be ready in time)
- Fixes for dedicated server and mp_consistency
- Visible player score and new scoring system (not confirmed, and still working out the details)
- New spectator UI (simple, automatic and shows much more information)
- Cloaking upgrade enhancements (fades smoothly, players can walk slowly with it)
- Translations for German, Spanish and Turkish (write Nemesis Zero at nemes1szer0@gmx.de with questions or comments)
- Many bug fixes (occasional stuck issues, sinking structures, rules for voice comm, improved wall-walking near railings and water, etc)
- Fixing all known exploits
The patch will probably be between 5 and 10 megabytes, and all players will need to download it. We are hoping to release it before the end of August, so look out for it.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Looks good, I'm very surprised at the number of new features they have added to 2.1, there's alot of stuff that they seem to have put in just for the fun of it.
- New spectator UI (simple, automatic and shows much more information)
This sounds good, they are definitely improving upon something I've heard only good things about, I suppose it would be too much to hope that this would include adding the ability to see from the comm's POV, but I suppose that's been discussed to death already and dismissed, so I won't say another word about it.

Oh... I read that one, it looked like people were flaming back and forth about fades, so I figured I misinterpreted the subject. My bad then.
Yo Sjn :-p

Sorry, 2.1 won't support commander mode spectating.
Max
Didn't think so. Too bad. It would probably ease the learning curve quite a bit, to actually be able to watch a good commander win the game...
So I guess the commander's camera is different from that of the other players(other than its distance and perspective)?
