<div class="IPBDescription">Sort of...</div> Introducing the Cel-Shaded Pack v.1. This pack includes new model skins for every alien, alien building, marine, and marine building.
The skins here are not *really* cel-shaded, just that they look like they are. They are as close to it as the HL engine can get. I havn't re-done the gun models yet but I will in a future release.
Enjoy, and feedback is welcome.

*edit* the marine buildings look like crap, but the alien models look good. Could someone help me on how to make them look better?

But there is an old HL mod that was dedicated to Cell Shaded models called Buzzy Bots. Was mad fun too.

offtopic: How to get that effect in photoshop? I was looking for that.
If you had THAT added to what youve done already, that would be quite awesome <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
edit: it doubles your poly count, btw, as the inside out model is put around the original model
It has nothing to do with code.
<!--QuoteBegin--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> </td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin-->gotta make a copy of the model, make it slightly bigger, color it black and make it inside out so that you can only see the black on the inside, giving the black line effect.<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
there ya go.
Take the whole model, duplecate it, englarge it a tiny bit, reverse all the polygons and give it a black skin.
Only problem is it doubles the polycount.
you probly should even be doing this in the first place...
Face: reverse vertex order.
I'm guessing youve never made a model from scratch because you would haved used that option all the time when making indeviduas polies.
It has nothing to do with code.

REAL cellshading isnt a reversed model. you code that. But as far as I know theres no mod for hl that allows REAL cellshading therefor you must use the mentioned method.

Therefore, it CAN be done, to varying degrees of effectiveness. or those of you who are no familiar with Sven Co-Op, the cel-shading effect on these models works quite well indeed.
