    I've never played Halo, but from the grip, trigger guard, and elongated clip, i'd say its more the machine-pistol type.

    But we've got very few pistol replacements as of now (and most are just cs conversions anyhow..) so i'd love to see this model when its done.

    Nope it's 12 rounds, if anyone gets halo on PC , always have this weapon, it's like a dead accurate DE with a scope.

    All you need is the freakin pistol. You don't need any alternate weapons. If you must engage in close combat, be sneaky and beat them in the back of the head with the handle of your pistol. It's fun when you do that.

    If you must carry another weapon besides your pistol, I recommend the rocket launcher or the sniper rifle. Halo pistol is elite by itself.

    Anyone who says that Halo can be beat easily with just the pistol hasn't played it on anything but easy. Try it on Heroic or Legendary, it gets tough -real- quick.

    Halo's pistol is the **** though. The reason the clip is so large and only holds 10 bullets is because it's rather high calibur I believe, and the bullets are gas propelled.

    Still haven't played Halo single-player yet, waiting for a PC version. Although I read the books and from those they make the M-6 out to be God-like, where the Master Chief often uses it as a medium to long range sniper weapon, taking down Jackals and the such with aimed shots through their shields. Never knew what it looked like, it DOES resemble a Five-Seven cause of it's plastic curves and texture, but thats about it. Good job on that, hope it gets complete, just MIGHT replace my Seburo...

    In my opinion, the HALO pistol is quite good in the harder difficulties. Grunts can easily be killed with single headshots...elites with maybe two clips of sustained fire. Believe me - there were some levels on <i>legendary</i> where i just <b>ached</b> for a pistol to use (for example, <i>Two Betrayals</i>). A pistol and a plasma rifle is the perfect switchup for me <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    But back to the topic: I really like the m6 model. I may even consider downloading it. I only say <i>may</i> because I'm a bit of a purist - I don't really get into the alternate-model experience. Show us some in-game shots when you get it finished and you might get a bite from me <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    BTW: i have a little tip or hint here on halo i always have 2 plasma rifles so when im rapid firing with one and it over heats i switch to the other quickly and keep on firing, just a tip for those difficult 3 elites verse 1 master chief situation <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    It's not a machine pistol. It's just Bungie's poor excuse for a badly-designed pistol. Futuristic looking yes, but it's bad design would make it totally inaccurate, though it apparently is in Halo.
