<div class="IPBDescription">"Devil's Hands"</div> Oh wow...best episode ever.

Stupid FOX. That insanely idiotic Banzai show ( that even lost its "funny because it's so stupid' appeal) is still on, and Futurama is done..grrrr

Oh..crap..double thread..if anyone could please delete the other. It said Mail error when I clicked make topic, so I redid it..

I think they could have done a bit better than they did, the last few minutes were trying a bit too hard to be serious, but I am happy about the fact that Zoidberg got the last joke of the episode when he bought all the papers, but I could be wrong, my short term memory is like poo.

And you're right, Banzai does suck, that's why it was cancelled from TBS. Why fox brought it back is a mystery to me.

Family Guy couldn't have lasted longer than it did and still have remained funny. If you look at the episodes chronologically they get less and less origional/comedic as the series goes on, that kind of humor just cannot last.

Futurama had like 0 advertising and a million time slot changes... Leave it on after the simpsons and i'll watch it, move it to 7, 7:30, 9:00, 11:00 and I won't..

    RIP, Futurama <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

Simpsons arent going to be gone. They're a cash cow even though it's a bit bad now.

And I thought that the serious bit worked out quite well.

Family Guy is gold. Gold, baby.

IMO, Simpsons should have died after season 4.

Simpsons sucks now. I've watched them for the past 6 or 7 years. I remember the point at which I realized the new season sucked. I had been watching the repeats on UPN for a long time, and I finally caught a new episode on a Sunday.

I flipped it on, they had made Homer a moron (he was just dull before, not completely stupid), none of the plot made sense, and they tried to make fun of the ending but it just made the episode look stupider.

Oh yeah, they killed off Mod then tried to make a sidestory out of it, which dosent fit with the Simpsons at all (Ok, Sideshow Bob had his little shows but there was always a good story behind it, and it was funny).

That dosen't **** me off as much as the fact that the only reason Mod was killed off was because Fox was so cheap they wouldn't pay her more then ten grand or so for doing voice work on such a highly rated show. I think after that episode (and the one in which Homer is on death row) I realized I better stick to the repeats.

I remember years ago they had talked about making 3 Simpsons movies, but now Im very worried that if they make them the suckiness of this season will be passed onto the big screen.

Yes Im sorry this turned into a Simpsons rant <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Futurama was pretty cool, although the schedule for it was so messed up I only caught a few episodes. Hopefully Sci-Fi or TNN or UPN (After they cancel that abomination against God named Enterprise) will pick it up.

Tis a dark time for Sci-Fi shows. Dark indeed.

Oh Jebus. I was having trouble figuring out who you were talking about at first. It isn't spelled 'Mod', in fact. I believe he meant 'Maude,' Flanders' wife <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

You forgot to mention how over-hyped the celebrities on the simpsons are getting. Remember ho whyped The Who were when they had a guest spot? That episode still wasn't very good. And the episode where Homer goes to rock camp, pure gimick.

My favorite Futurama Episode is still "Parasites Lost" Fry gets some parasites that rebuild his body and make him smart and stuff from an egg salad sandwich at a space 'truck stop'. It's funny, got a good plot and reminds me of myself.

    "Whats that black cracker?"
    "A tomato, I think."

The simpsons used to be the best, but now Family Guy and Futurama are both better than it.
If anyone doesn't know, you can see Family Guy, Futurama and some anime on Cartoon Network after 10pm (US Central..does any other country get Caroon Network? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

Listening to: Bohemian Rhapsody, by Queen
The title does actually make sense, just so you know.

Well if Family Guy hadn't been so offensive, it would have lasted longer. Whether it still would have been funny is debatable, but the main reason Fox switched it around so damned much was it's offensive content. One of the last episodes, it wasn't shown on TV, was called "To Wish Upon a Weinstein(sp?)" about the Griffins going poor and Peter wishes to a Jewish man to handle their money problems...

Anyway, Fox is still an evil corporation hell-bent on ruining good TV.

Family Guy wasnt "offencive"...Well....except the time Peter had a fight with a giant chicken that lasted 10 minutes and ended with the chicken killed by a copy machine, and Peter walking out covered in blood. BUT...

I've never found King of the Hill funny enough to watch any more than just 'very occasionally' and 'only if absolutely nothing better is on'.

On a topic-related sidenote : Volume two of the Futurama DVD's were (<i>FINALLY!!</i>) released in the US/Canada today. Mine is now mingling well with my other DVD's. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
