It could be the infamous "Gamers Itch". That disease all us nerds have, wherein after a certain amout of time on a game we want to try something new for little or no reasons. U could try to join a clan and play with proffesionals, change your view of models, soundpacks, etc. Or u could play a really crappy mod for a while,*coughricochetcough*, and then come back to NS and realize how great it is again. Thats about all you can do. Good luck reigniting the flame.

Did you get bored with 1.04? Iono, I got much more bored playing 1.04... well and some of the other 1.1 versions... This one can be fun if you play with people you know and talk to during the game. Its always good to try something new with the game, I suggest playing one of the new beta versions.

Although, I can almost guarantee that if the game lasted ~100+ minutes its because the winning team was drawing the game out by turretings every single square on the map instead of assualting your hive/the main marine base.

i like ricochet....

but anyways, yeah i got bored of it a bit too. just play a diff game for a while. playing the same game every night can turn out to be very boring as well as repetitive...

Erm... try a few of the clan sites like nsa.... to visit all the clans listed. #findnsscrim should have alot @gamesnet. A few should be recruitings, just ask the clan leaders for a try out.

last few days NS has been sucking for me, i realised tonight (*i think?*) it was down to me playing on good pubs.
good pubs (probably your usual) aliens will always win. you wanna try bad pubs (random pubs really) where its much more random, weirdly this makes for better games (and even a few marine wins!).

I get tired of games after a while too, especially if I play it a lot like I am with NS. I bet I'll get tired of it pretty soon. I don't know how to fix it. You'll probably come back to it eventually with slightly less enthusiasm, then a few days later you'll be tired of it again.

Kinda suxx because I've never been able to get really really really good at a game because I've never played one game for long enough at a time.

So if you're like me, go play something else. Or maybe you're different and just need a little break. I don't know.

I find it getting boring too, especially since I'm severely limited to servers as I'm pinging everything at 300+ lately <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>

Mainly, it's always a 2.0 server with two or three pro players working together against a bunch of disorganized marines and I'm way too lagged to comm (hard to drop medpacks and ammo in the heat of battle when your troops are warping everywhere). I always go random, so that means I'm almost always on marines... and we get destroyed again and again.

Have I ever told you how much I -hate- skulk rushes? In pubs, marines are pretty much crippled with a skulk rush since they're all trying to figure out who comms, where to go, what to build, who stands guard, etc. while they have a bunch of skulks eating them while they try to build. I'd be in favor of having marine bases always start with an IP and an armory.

If marines somehow survive a skulk rush, prepare for a long, boring game of struggling to get back on your feet while aliens are getting three hives and all the nodes with ochambers everywhere.

I switch between WCIII:TFT and NS a lot. You should try out the different aspects of NS as well. Commanding can be a lot of fun if you have a good team.

Same here. sadly I only have 1 buddy to play with so I dont get to play alot. NS Commanding is fun....but not on pubs unless everyone on marine is a regular who you know will listen....

I've been playing NS and NS only for 3 months straight now.. I'm starting to get sick of it too. I recently joined a decent clan, however that clan has gone on an insane recruiting spree and now it seems as though every man and his dog has joined.

No pracs, hardly any wars, I think I need a break. Pubs are just a joke with the recent influx of newbies unless the server is full of a bunch of clanners.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again. Closed beta was a bad idea...too much clan intake. NS Is great for clans says ns.org. Try some other game for a while then get bored of it (I recommend PacMan,you get bored of it REAL quick)

I went outside and saw aliens. That's when I realized I wasn't outside, I was just hallucinating. I breathed a sigh of relief, as I'm scared of outside.
