anyone know of a good company that hosts NS 2.xx servers to rent?
i'm looking into a 16 player public one.

    They are around the cheapest and have great quality of service and pings throughout Europe (though they are British based).

    I bought my server from them, Its a little bit more money ($150 a month) but your getting a whole box, not just a game server. Meaning you can run as many players as you want.

    We are bringing a brand new box online in the next 2 to 3 weeks that will hold 4 NS 18 Player servers.

    We will be running a special on them as they will be our first round of NS Servers.

    Dual 2.4 Ghz HT Xeons
    2 GB Registered ECC PC 2100 RAM
    Dual 120 GB SATA HDD in Raid 1 config

    i must ask you teh quick question, how much cpu and bandwidth do you think a 16player ns server use on the superserver2.0 from servermatrix.com running on win2003? cuz i'm thinking of getting one and running 1ns 2cs and 1svencoop halflife servers...

    Well on one of our boxes we are running the following

    24 Player WC3-CS
    20 Player The Specialists
    20 Player Team Fortress
    20 Player Natural Selection 2.0
    20 Player CS

    Last night with 4 of the 5 servers full the procs were sitting at 42% Util. and going as low as 28%

    This is on a Dual HT 2.4 Ghz Xeon with 1 gig of ram.

    So far LB just rented from BeachServers. I have to say, they are doing amazing. The servers are located in Texas, which means about 70 or less for anyone in the US.

    Also, I believe they are about 119.99 a Month. And its an entire box.

    Last time we we checked the CPU Usage, it was 0-2% on Lost with 14 people.
