Commander Mistakes

<div class="IPBDescription">Post your worst commanding screw ups.</div> It was fairly early in the game yet I had managed to get our marines in a pretty good position with a few resnodes and a weapon upgrade.
I did NOT have a turret factory in base as I wanted to get a few upgrades first.
The skulks rushed my base and killed pretty much all of the marines. The few outside the base area started heading back to help defend.
Realizing that we had a good shot at winning the game, I quickly selected the observatory but hit the 'motion tracking' button by mistake! Quickly I canceled it and accidentally mashed the recycle button. So much for my emergency beacon. :-/
We lost.

Dropping ammo instead of medpack for some heavy armors (mixed up the designations).
Placing buildings in bast marine start right before the vent, from which I saw bilebombs fall not long after.
Relocating to a small area, only to be gassed and boxed in by a gorge/lerk combination.
For a whole game I was going 'who got the arms lab/obs/etc..' Then I noticed v = recycle
I had 'V' bound as my 'duck' (quack) button so I was using it to assign squads.
I tried to hotkey an observatory... I recycled several observatories before If inally figured out what was happening. :-/
(In the case I stated above at the start of the thread, I recycled onscreen recycle button. I think I've conquered this problem. We'll see :-p)
i used to have a nack for putting stuff where it couldn't be upgraded or fell through the floor, but i eventually found all the spots and learned my lesson.
this is off-topic, but as a gorge i accidentally put an oc on top of a res node instead of a res tower. luckily i was with some good players who could win regardless, and we just shared a good laugh. a really long, really good laugh.
Of course, idiot me didnt realize you could recycle unbuilt structures until 3 games after that <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--><!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--><!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
.....except noone had built a single IP since we had relocated. noone mentioned this until after the comm chair went down with me in it. The last 3 heavies fell to spawning skulks. I dunno bout my team, but I was laughing my heiny off.
However, I do remember when I first tried commanding. I had played NS 1.04 for a good three months, taking heed of the advice on these forums and avoided hopping in to the CC or going gorge. But I thought I was starting to get the hang of the game's pace, so I put on an alias name (just incase), took a deep breath and went up to the chair. "Ooh, shiny buttons." Team started to ask for IPs and an armoury, and after a few moments of fumbling around, I found and placed them. "This isn't so bad! Time to place a turret factory!"
The problem wasn't that I decided to place a TF rather then mines (remember, this is 1.0). The problem was that I clicked the wrong icon and slapped down a second comm chair right next to the one I was sitting in. :D Needless to say, I typed "quit" very, very quickly, and didn't attempt commanding for another month. ;D
They look so damn alike!
