Y'know I was thinking about a couple things... how a bunch of n00bs will play as aliens alot, use the advantages they have, think they're hot stuff, and talk down to other players. Even when they are forced to play as marines, they play the same way, get there butts handed to them, and blame their teammates. I was in one game where I was just messing around as a gorge, building sensory in the vents... it was kinda cool, I thought... before I realize it, I have people yelling at me saying I lost them the game! (before it was even half-over, of course) They were counting on me, one nub gorge, playing the game for the FOURTH time total, to do their building. I thought these guys were good at the time, and I was apologetic, but in retrospect, they were being jerks and I'm annoyed I didn't point out there stupidity. (One guy celebrated my death by singing the chicken dance over voice comm for 30 seconds) Sorry to whine... I just had to say something...

Yeah, that has happened to me too several times. How can you build more res towers, hive, some defences and the chamber they want in 10 minutes??
And if the game goes like that and we have average marine team against us, we will lose if only one gorge is trying to do everything.
It just takes too much time.

But dude, dont take offense... they are just being stupid. And secondly... it wasn't your fault that the team lost... they are blaming you for their mistakes. Anyway, happy gaming!

If said gorge builds structures in vents such that the aliens can't get past them? That can spell death for an alien team. Often the vents are the fastest way from hive to hive.. which is aboslutely crucial when a hive is being attacked.
Now, if they were giving you hell for building the wrong kind of structures, or not building enough of them, just ignore it. They all have the opportunity to go gorge and build things themselves. If they were giving you hell for building things in a way that prevented them from getting around the map then don't take it personally, but learn and remember.
Always think about your team-mates.. which means more than just thinking about what they need, it means thinking about how they move. Onos need lots of space to move effectively. Skulks/Lerks/Fades need some clearance in tight spots. Gorges and onos need to be able to access ladders. I've seen some of the strangest set-ups, like an OC stacked on a DC right in front of a ladder. Sounds good in theory, but in practice, it completely stopped the gorges of the team from accessing a good chunk of the map. I've seen sensories placed deep in vents.. so deep that they didn't cloak anything outside the vent, and made it hell (if not impossible) for anybody else to get by them. Heck, I've even been trapped in a vent by a gorge who didn't think things through. (I went in, found the other end hand been welded up, so came back to find a new sensory chamber blocking the entrance)
Yeah, it was all your fault. Don't be such a idiot. The other guys on your team must've worked very hard as skulks to horde all that res they needed to go fade or onos. They were counting on you to build all of their buildings for them. It couldn't be THEIR fault, it's not like this game takes cooperation or some bull like that. Imagine: a game where everybody works together!!! That would sell like crap!

Yes, you're definitely right there! incorrect building could have probably cut short a possible victory...
but if that wasn't the case, then i agree: just ignore them.
Oh yea, and to the guy that posted directly above me... if some gorge is kind of a newb and doesn't really know what he's doing, i'll save up res for myself until i hit like 44 or something and turn into a gorge and help out. but yes, i do see your point man... if the skulks/everything else were doing their job well and the gorge kinda messed things up i'd be angry as well.
I just hate people who think voice comm is for them to take frustrations out on other players. I don't care if it's in my direction (which it has been) or not, it annoys and distracts a whole team.
Some n00b who thinks they're elite on aliens. I say to them to go and play marines. He dies about 30 times in a row, constantly calling for shotguns and medpacks, when he does jack **** except run around, ignore waypoints and everything, acting like he's still on aliens.

Well, clearly the answer to that would be res towers, or else they wouldn't be complaining about him, they'd be trying to fix the mistake by simply going gorge themselves and building. But they all wasted their res on upgrading themselves, and know it will be a long wait for the 25 res needed to get even one tower.
Yeah, he did show poor teamwork skills by not asking what they wanted, but they didn't tell him what to build either. Bad communication is everybody's fault.
But seriously, who would be dumb enough to leave it all up to one gorge? Check your team, an experienced player should at least know that, if there's only one gorge, and no res towers, SOMEBODY better go gorge and build them, I can't believe this whole team let this situation even come up. Teh stupid.
If this was an average game with say... 6 aliens? He should take his rightful 1/6 of the blame, I suppose.

This is the <b>New Player</b> forum. You can't expect everyone to know what to ask/when to ask/how to ask/what to build/when to build it.
Instead of posting replies that reek of flamebait, how about some constructive feedback? Failing that, stop browsing the newbie forums - you aren't helping anyone with this sort of rubbish.
