Skulk With Glowing Eye?

<div class="IPBDescription">?</div> I changed me models to buzzcuts models with the laser thingy... and i couldnt hlep thinking if the same thing would be possible with the skulks eye...

The laser looks really glowing and nice and if someone modeled a skulk with a glowing eye?

    Too bad additive doesn't always draw full bright. It will be dark in dark places. I'd easilly hack something like this up, but until we get full bright additive rendering, laser effects and glow effects won't always draw full bright... :[

    It would be pointless. If there is no fullbright glow, then it won't look any different ingame.

    Glowing things are possible with the new transparencies. You can find some models on CustomTFC that make use of the effect.

    EDIT: Bad thing is that it usually requires twice as many polys as the normal model, if you do a completely new layer of glow stuff.

    but dont u only need to make the eye glow then? so u dont have to make a whole new layer around the body

    If you made the eye glow fullbright, it WOULD be considered cheating, even though the suprise from it might actually be a disadvantage...

    Although what i was thinking is that if the eyes glow, will they be more visible when the thing is cloaked? imagine seeing a set of eyes running around. now that IS cheating.

    That would be an exploit. As you can see the glow in the dark.

    im not talking about some cheat glowing in dark..

    Im talking about to make a skulk model with some transparent red glow around his eyes... that would make him look more evil
    not that it will glow in dark..
