Rather than "oh sh*t", I've heard the plural on several servers said to be oshi, which I kinda like.

If we're going to make it a Latin word, let's go with the third declension, since "os" isn't a valid nominative singular ending in either the first or second.

    <i>Onos, onoris</i>

    Nom. singular = onos
    Nom. plural = onores

UNLESS the onos is genderless (a "neuter" noun), in which case plural = onora.

"Eheu! Propinquat onos!" (Uhoh! An onos is coming!)
"Infandum! Propinquant onores!" (Woe unutterable! Onores are coming!)

I've always called them "Onos" as a plural form and I'm pretty much stuck in a groove as far as that's concerned, I prefer that to "Oni". <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo--> I don't have any issue with anyone calling it anything else (provided that I can understand what they are referring to, "Oniusisoenossnsnsnssssssss" might be getting a little obscure <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> ).

Well Flay says it's Oni, but what does he know, it's not like it's his game or anything.... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I prefer onos. As in, Onos = singular and plural.

    Like one sheep, two sheep.

    One Onos, OMG 2 ONOS F4 F4!!!

/me thinks a poll may be in order to decide which is best; Onos, Oni, Onores or Onura. Or oshi. Where the greasy poop did "Oshi" come from???

Funny you should mention "poop" in conjunction with the term "Oshi". <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    "OH NO"s = onos
    "OH 'poop'" = oshi

substitute "poop" with something that starts with "shi".

JEBUS! Flayra made the word onos, he also made the word oni. If he had made it onos and onrus that would be the right way to write it. And if you come here and say that flayra did not make "onos" but got the word from *bliff to blah* it is still up to him to decide. Oni says the man who actually made the word, jebus.

I guess I usually say Oni (pronounced Oh*Nigh) like Flayra. I guess that falls under the mouse/mice convention.

i look on it like this...

Singular : Sheep "that is a sheep"

Plural : Sheep "those are sheep"

Singular : Fish "that fish swims fast"

Plural : Fish "those fish swim fast"

HOWEVER you also get the names that end with an S

    Like the name Douglas

If there are two people with that name they are Douglas' but pronounced with "es" after the name, they are not Dougli, English is not my first language, so comeone guys who know english, set them straight.

In my opinion its either Onos or Onos' that is the plural.
