<div class="IPBDescription">Getting assigned a trashed room...</div>I'm so **** off. During the semester I live on campus in what's called the Commons. Its bigger than a normal dorm room, its kinda like an apartment that's owned by the university. Yesterday I was given opportunity to move into the room I was assigned to live in for next year, and its a dump. Here's a run down on just a few of the problems with this room:
- Appears to be Urine stains on mattress & floor
- Blood (maybe) on bedroom door
- Smashed wall in kitchen
- Filthy walls
- Needs painting
- Dirty Refridgerator
- Gum on wall in Bathroom near toilet paper holder thing
- Gum inside dryer, all over it.
- Pipe going to toilet is coming out of wall
- Bedroom door looks to have been kicked in, Door panel cracked.
- Lots more, too much to mention...
I swear, its entirely possible that somebody could have killed somebody in this room and not cleaned up afterwards. I have no idea how a human being can live in such filth.
These conditions are completely unlivible. And while a lot of it could be cleaned up, they charge students heavy fines when a room is damaged, they should actually clean the room instead of doing nothing. I refuse to clean up after someone else, that's ridiculious. I may have to get an apartment somewhere else, or just drive back and forth...
The worst part of this is my dad thinks if I just flip the matress over it'll all be fine...

That's a bummer though.
I wouldn't really want that mattress anyway. Looks uncomfortable. Do you have one at home that you can use?
Man...that place is a clunker, bigtime. But ya, just grab some friends, some paint, and buy yourself a mini fridge until you can afford a full size(unless you can now). Go to the salvation army for another mattress.
I can't get a different room, cause there aren't any more available. They're at no vacancy.
I'm in the process of trying to report it, but the **** won't return my damn phone calls. The guy in charge is a real **** who already doesn't like me, so I don't expect much to be done.
And I'm not cleaning up someone else's blood and urine. To hell with that...
The room sucks **** location wise too. Its right across the street from a 7-11, so anytime anybody gets gas or airs up their tires you can hear it. Or when idiots w/ their souped up hondas are driving down the road listening to Tupac or whatever the hell it is that they think its so cool to rattle everyone's windows with...
I just don't feel like paying $425 a month for a dump. Its not worth that kind of money. If this was a privately owned apartment, and not the University's, I gurantee you nobody would move in to an apartment that looked like this, or if they did it would be something like $75 a month...
(and on the mattress, I think thats just sweat stains)
and $1000? I'd hate to live there. Its like $500 for the nicest apartments around here...
Also remember this is but a small selection of pictures. I took 60 different damage pictures w/ the digital camera last night...
And for those that are curious, no, I'm not saying there right now. And I won't be. But all this crap happens suddenly and I gotta leave for QuakeCon tommorrow... gah...
You shouldn't have to clean anything up. If nothing happens, call a local TV station or newspaper, they are hungry to expose stuff like this. Around here we have the "7 On Your Side" for Channel 7, "Problem Solvers" for Channel 2, and "Defenders Investigations" for Channel 4. They are always looking to expose dirty little secrets and I'm sure they would fall all over this one if you sent them these pictures.

actually sweat does leave pisz-like stains on the matrass, specially if ceminal/vaginal fluids are involved
/me inserts joke about the old children's book Gum on the Drum.
