hmmm
Hera is my new favorite map now that nancy is gone
I LOVE WELDABLES
However i have several qualms with it
My main one is that fades can shoot through the glass and hit our res node... that HAS to be fixed
Also a lerk in the vent above marine start can be in a position where it is impossible for us to shoot him, and still be able to spore a good portion of our base
Outside by the main base res node is also a problem.. Please make it so that lerks have no place to rest on... so that they must be either flying or landed on the ramp somewheres.. not over on the glass walkway we cannot get to.....
One last thing.... when a gorge builds a sensory on the little platform behind the crates outside.... it reaches almost all the way into the marine base.. and there is no way for marines to destroy it short of a human tower. You cant even aim grenades to land back there.. i know cuz ive tried....
Even with all this though it is my favorite map because of its extreme openness in your strategy...
However i feel some of these issues must be addressed

I think it's perfectly fine for a lerk to land there and spore or spike or whatever. You can shoot him reasonably easily, and there's always jetpacks. At any rate, the lerk first has to get through your base in order to reach it, and it provides an alternative, and (in my opinion) entirely viable way of attacking the marine base.

All in all = Much Ado About NOTHING !
We began constructing a human pyramid of epic proportions! Three people climbed up there, one fell off, and the other two crushed the sensory tower!

You dont have GLs 1 minutes into the game, but you do have lerks
As for fades acid blasting it, If the third hive is up and fades control that walk way your res node is the least of your worries, you have lost and once agin deserve to lose it. Really though, As slow as acid is now it would take a LONNGGG time to spam that node down anyways.
IF you guys want to be technical.

one-hive Lerks are pathetically weak, they miss vital skills and upgrades.. wasting those shouldn't take too much trouble, just keep your aim steady and true..
If you can't even defeat a one hive Lerk.. I fear nothing I can say will make the pain go away..

U have never met a good lerk have you...... they spike u while flying, very fast, never stopping for more than a second, hit that with your pistol or LMG enough to kill it before it kills 3 marines, and u get a cookie
Just remember the lerk needs LOS to spore or spike, if he can shoot you, you can shoot him!
If a lerk wants to spore into your base from outside, get a JP or if one isn't available, a devoted pair of marines can take it to him, 1 boosts and the other **** slaps that lerk!
