cause there's not enough of it around
We hear about all the bad stuff. The people who don't think it's fun, who don't like the changes, who think it's horribly unbalanced. We simply don't hear enough of the good stuff, and when we do its usually because they are flaming people posting about the bad. Its rare to read posts by people showing genuine appreciation for what they've been given.
Now it may be enough gratification for the team to have produced a product that has been downloaded 1 and a half million times. But my guess is that they don't see nearly as much gratitude from those 1.5 million people as they would like. So I would like to devote this thread to people wanting to show their appreciation for the hard work, long hours, talent, and creativity that the devs have put on the line for you to enjoy.
You may not think 2.0 is balanced, you may not like all the changes, but I think we can all agree that it has truly been a herculean effort to create, and its something that we care enough about to **** about until its perfect.
So to start it off . . .
Natural selection as a whole ranks among the best experiences I have ever had involving a computer.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Ryan Moulton

And I never player previous version of NS so I don't know about the changes either.
But there is something sure is this Mod is so clean that it should be on retail like DoD. Yeah guys, you did a very good job with the Half-Life engine. Never though that the Half-Life engine would transform into a a RTF/FPS style game. The COMM interface was a key for this game I guess.
About people just writing for complaining and such things, don't worry, I'm sure they all enjiy to play the game somehow. Hey, it seems that all gaming forums around the world are meant only for bitching, flamings, complaining and technical help these days.

Now rather that have to wait 10mins for HMG and JP u can get shotguns and hmgs faster
Aliens can go lerk quickly and altho fades aint that good nemore I still like em with the new blink (also I love geting told that im cheating and using a speed hax by newbies)
All in all NS is much better imo and while there are still little tweaks to be done you wont hear me complain
NS 2 only has a few minor bugs and exploits , 1.04 was fun with constant skulk rushes , lerk bite and babblers , but for now 2.0 is funnier.
go to any mod forum and you will see people biitching and complaining about the problems.
after all, what are forums for?
to fix problems and shiit light on new ideas.
Thank you Dev's.. thank-you.
That sounds painful.
Most of the grateful people are playing the game, not reading the forums. :D

I play hours upon hours of it, never getting bored. I get my internet from a 50 meter network cable from my neighbours place to mine and i use his cable connection and the only reason i dont play all the time is due to the fact that the server turns off occasionally.
Yeh i'd class it as an obsession, the only reason im on the forums is coz im on 28k dial up connection in between times when cable not connected.

For me? I'm still playing it
it's awesome and blink is soooooooooooo fun
and hey, Natural-Selection dictates that things must change to survive, and NS did just that
good work to Dev team, playtesters, the elitest veterans , Flayra, the forum mod/admins, oh and MonsE for doing a fantastic job with PR and getting mirrors and just generally making things run behind the scenese
in short
dear Dev team,
NS !=lose;
Ns == win;
Thank you for making such a great polished game.
love, Daub
