Dual Monitor Support

Is this a HL or NS problem?
I have a GF4 4800ti and 2 monitors hooked up to it, 1 17" Hansol 700F monitor and 1 15" Mitsubishi DiamondPoint M55LCD.

When having both monitors on with the built in "Exten my desktop to this monitor" feature enabled in XP and I load NS some strange color discrepancies appear. The console and the main menu are fine, but in game colors that would typically be gold/yellow such as the Kharaa team names appear as green. Im running NS at 1280x960 OpenGL.

Anyone have any ideas on what would cause that?

Umm...I play NS with 2 monitors connected to my ATI 9800 and everything is fine. The alien text IS green, but beyond that, I haven't noticed any issues in game. I can read IRC on my second monitor, while I'm playing on my first

yeah whats up with that green text? the other monitor displays everything perfectly fine, when i get home from work I'll check other mods for color discrepancies, perhaps its because of 32mil colors?

OpenGL itself does not support multiple monitors. I tried dual monitoring offa an agp geforce and a pci radeon (bad combo), but got a crazy error when attempting to play halflife.

I traced the error to nVidia's website and they specifically stated that OpenGL does not have dual monitor support, especially for gaming. Odd are, you'll probably have to do DirectX to successfully dual monitor.

ah, thats most likely the cause then, i'll see if directx displays the colors properly although it may be not worth it

if it ends up looking like crap again i'll probably script something that when HL launches it disables the 2nd monitor

Post a screen shot of what you are seeing in-game L3on. Like I said, I am using dual monitors under XP with OpenGL, and I haven't noticed any issues (besides the green alien text).
