on some servers it shows...and on others it doesn't.
Don't say i should turn on uplink cause its on.
Don't say its cause the ns.org is down because if i join 1 server, it works, quit and join another it doesn't.
From what i've heard this happens to a lot of people :\

I think I heard this problem is due to natural-selection.org being flooded with the forums and stuff.
and both servers have mp_uplink at 1. <!--emo&::skulk::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/skulk.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='skulk.gif'><!--endemo-->
When NS.org is overloaded, the icons information might not be downloaded.
Every 2 hours the servers check for new icon information and update it from ns.org... At times of high load, they can't get the info (shouldn't happen any more btw.. /me has been tweaking the webserver to try to prevent the website slowing to a crawl again)
Wait 2 hours and your server will update itself.

another server on an identical machine, same backbone (both rented)
has the icons :\
and metamod is the newest too :\
my constellation icon have always popped up (played on like 10 diffrent servers since the drop)
i don't care anyway, i did the donation for other things than getting this icon

One has a different firewall configuration? Or is behind a proxy?
and another server hosted by the same company doesnt have the problem

Actually, in the few servers where my icon showed up, I've had a number of people ask me what it was. After explaining the Constellation program, they sounded interested in donating.
We odviously care enough to donate to a great game. Dont you? I guess not.
Atleast we support the development of the game unlike some others.

Im still a firm believer that some servers wont get the pt,dev,and const Icons because of firewall/router issues. If admin icons work then your server.cfg is properly set and has something to do with authing with ns.org.
There might also be some kind of timeout built into NS so that the server doesnt hang if the NS.org site is down. In which case your server isnt authing with ns.org fast enough and therefore wont display the icons.
futhermore, I hope AUTH icons and Constellation icons have a separate slot. ie. Auth shows beside the name and further left shows either constellation, guide, playtester, team, etc.
otherwise a constellation member or other VIP with admin won't show up as admin.

dont have a creditcard and send money by post is a bit ...
use www.shareit.com so a lot of people who want to donate and dont have a creditcard can pay on the normal way
problem is i think, people pay for the icon (so people see how '"elite"' they are) and not realy to support ns.
Either way, their money ends up in the NS cashbox, funding further development and this very website. Doesn't matter too much what the donator's secret motivation is <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
