<div class="IPBDescription">Please help, I'm desperate</div> Hi,
**System specs posted after message**
Well I've looked a lot, asked a lot, and haven't gotten anywhere. In the switch from 1.04 to 2.0, I noticed a SEVERE drop in my fps. I used to top at 72+ fps in 1.04 but now in 2.0 it's usually 20-30 fps. I checked my video modes, and decided to try OpenGL for once, instead of D3D which I was using at the time. I have all the new drivers for my video card. Immediately, I noticed everything ran wayyyy smoother for me, and the new crosshairs were finally visible. I was once again at 70+ fps. But then I noticed my HUD kept flashing every few seconds. Sometimes it would stay "off" for a minute, then come back for 10 seconds and do it again.
I'm using Counter Strike Retail to run NS, and I use OpenGL in 800x600 resolution.
What can I do to fix it please?
Specs:
1.5ghz Athlon XP
394 MB DDR RAM
GeForce FX 5200
40GB HD
