<div class="IPBDescription">for naming a server...</div> I was looking for a server to play on the other day, and i wanted to play an orginized match to see how the game was ment to be played.

Most of the time i just want to play around a match or two on a custom map server though, but i can never tell what kind of game the server is playing.

Here is what im getting at... there should be something in the name of every server that will let people know what kind of game is going on or what the admins ment to have... like...

(F) *server name* -Fun map server <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
(RP) *server name* -relaxed public server <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
(SP) *server name* -Serious public server <!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
(C ) *server name* -Clan match\recruitment\style of play <!--emo&::marine::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/marine.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='marine.gif'><!--endemo-->

just a thought, this way i can jump onto a server that im feel like playing on at any given time.

    Good idea at first glance, but a lot of n00bs will end up joining the serious servers and such and it wouldn't make a big difference.

    In a perfect world, though, everyone would read the forums and implement the good ideas then follow them to a tee. =(

    too true, noobs would jus go anywhere, just cant judge all the players to be the same standard.
    we cannot bring function to the chaos that is... NS server names! <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:0--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wow.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wow.gif'><!--endemo-->

    true, but i think if servers started doing this n00bs would start to catch on after 2 or 3 games.. and no longer be n00bs <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I don't know, i just think it would be really nice, if i could have it all my way i think there should be another catagory for this on the servers list like there is for different maps, ping, players, and name... but i guess i don't get what i always want <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    interesting idea, one thing though is servers tend to change in mood after a few rounds, especially if mostly the same people are playing together. A serious server isn't a serious server all the time. I guess it doesn't really matter though. I mean if you find a serious server that isn't so serious you can find another one. I support the idea, not much i can do about implementing it though.

    very true, moods on my server change mid game even, depending on how long a game has been and what is going on, how many times we've retaken hive A or area B, etc.

    It might not work, because as stated before; "newcomers".

    They'd get confused, and basically join the first server they saw on the list. This being your, serious type of game server.

    All in all, I liked your idea though.
