<div class="IPBDescription">EVERY time I join a server/change maps</div> It happens in NS only. Every other game i have, including HL/HL Mods, dont do this. It also happened in the old version of NS but not as often, and not from joining a server. Now it happens right after the game finishes loading/caching. Every time i join a server, either from the NS menu or a mod menu.
I'm not sure but i think it also maxes out the contrast, as what used to be GREY becomes nearly WHITE! While darker colors become VERY hard to distinguish. However, it doesnt change the settings in HL or the ATI drivers, as it seems NS changes the display settings without letting my OS or the game "know" about it. I go into the ATI driver settings, click on "color" tab and it returns to my preset color settings(gamma, brightness, contrast). Here's my comp stats.
AMD 1700+ OC'd to 1900+(147 mhz FSB)(1.6 Ghz) 512 MB ddr ram
Windows98 SE
SB Audigy2 and Radeon 9500 (catalyst v3.6)
Game is running on OpenGL @1024x768 @60 Hz(15" Monitor w/ 1024x768 MAX)
NOT running EAX
Original Half-Life w/ latest update
(DOD, Cstrike, NS, Richochet, TeamFortress are the mods i have installed)
Thanks for your time.
