Servers Removing Abilities

<div class="IPBDescription">Ugh...read for the description</div> My all time favorite server, and the one I've been a regular at for AGES, Has removed stomp, devour, and metabolize. Aliens never win anymore. I feel there should be a way to prevent servers fom ruining the game like that...I mean, the abilities probably got removed because some whiny marine got devoured 20 times because he dosen't have a jetpack. I see this as an up and comming problem, anyone else? I posted on their forums requesting they dont keep it for the obvious reasons. Since they were removed aliens have YET to win a decent 10-40 minute game

    Yea, the old version of metamod has problems.. it removes Metabolize, and a few others.. (Probably the new ones)
    Just have them get the latest version of the metamod dll, no re-config needed.. just install it and you're fine
    I've had this problem and fixed it

    its a bug caused by a server patch incompartible with some meatmod stuff.
    metabolize is not THAT essential.

    updating meatmod fixes it.

    And in fact it tends to be quite unintentional on the server owners' part.. normally they don't know why it's happening. If you catch an admin on, be sure to let them know.
