whats the command to set your weapons to fast select? I cant rember (i set my ns1 so long ago) I much perfer my weapons to be instantly ready when i select them.
well, as far as I can tell the hotkey system is gone completely (my old bindset does nothing as far as I can tell). I also had no luck extracting the commands used by the wasd system in the five minutes I spent trying.
The alien commands, however, seem unchanged. Even the old voicecomms are still there. Need healing, need backup, etc -- the ones removed from the popup menu. Beats me if they still work when looking at you on the minimap or not, though.
I would like to know this too, as I need to know these for the multi-binder scripts i am about to make. I will soon have a seperate config for each alien class, complete with taunt binds <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->. I will create a "public" version of it soon.
For those who have not seen my script, it is basically a keymap toggler, meaning you dont have to mash binds for fades, lerks and so on into one config, and it also has a few handy echo messages to help (specially as gorge, so you know what key you are pressing) It also streamlines many things, such as the mousewheel weapon select - instead of going though the entire range of weapons, it only selects 2 of them (for skulk, mousehweel up is slot3, mousewheel down is slot 1). If anyone has any objections to this keybind, then please check the ingame options; it can be done there, and it's just to reduce workload on my part.
It's just a case of working out which things I need for what :/
It hasn't been updated since 1.1, but everything but the commander part seems to still work. The alien attack names are different, of course, but just look one post up for those <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
Edit: Oh, yeah, and impulse 2 is Reload. Not sure why I didn't figure that one out earlier. Edit 2: To avoid confusion: Pheramones = 111 Scent of Fear = 112
you can change those keys to anything, its in your config.cfg. If you mean the actual impulses for each command instead of using the hotkeys, i'm not sure.. Maybe they didn't include that.

.. while were on the subject of scripts/binds, some people might find this useful:
I think I may just revamp my old "q" bindset. Back when lastinv didn't work, I wrote a replacement for it that I actually prefer to lastinv in the first place. For one thing, it remembers which two attacks you had selected, even after you die (which lastinv doesn't do. And I play skulk a lot, so the attacks rarely change for me). I think I'm going to make it work identically to lastinv now (which will take a bunch of scripting...), except it will remember, and it will tell you what attack you're switching to. I hate lastinv because bite and leap look identical in first person view, and it's hard to tell what you have selected.
Thanks a lot <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> I will get to work on scripts as soon as I get the chance. That's after I've done section 2 of part 1 of my Story on the Ferai ^-^ You won't belive what I have in store for you in the later parts of the story, going to be so cool <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

the idea is simple. you get a "need health" request. all you need to do is move the mousecursor to the middle and press ONE KEY all the time. its a script that does:
ask for medpack, center to the request, select health, drop one.
alias mednow "impulse 10; impulse 123; e ; a" alias ammonow "impulse 11; impulse 124; e ; s" alias ordernow "impulse 80; impulse 125; l"
this aliases could be used as request AND as commander if only e a s works !
