    someday ill add it in a map...... in miniature offcourse..... until then... it will be kept in my hd <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo--> just take a look at it.... do a big woah tell me what u think of, what u think i should add or fix.... so i can improve....... its also good for learnin how to make good maps even if u dont think so.....

    And if something like that <i>was</i> to be "walked" it would have look l337. And i don't think NS has something to make it go(/me is no mapper, couldn't find the right text). I think you should also make the top part, like a cockpit of a fighter jet.

    I cant really see too much of it.. on my screen its very dark but a better cockpit would make it look much better.

    Kinda meant something like that. YOu know, the top is glass and curved to perfection. From that it would be down to the walker part.

    Maybe you can put a train under it while making the entire mech func_pushable and put the train controls in the cockpit.  Just a thought, sadly I don't think it will work, but its worth a try.

    bleh u cant make it walk..... u could make it move... but the legs would stand still..... and the cockpit its somethin that im goin to make again.... bout what jediyoshi sayd... i like the glass as it is rite now,its curved, its just that its not at the top of the ship, but in the front........ but what im gonna do with this little fella is puttin him into a mech repair room, there will be some mechs, some will have missin arms legs, the cockpit destroyed..... or somthin like that.....
    if anybody has more suggestions i would appreciate it...

    Btw, im already makin the new cockpit, cockpit screens comin soon.....

    Sry but you can't beat that logic. Anyways ask someone about Wizard Wars about one level with a walker. It was the best ever. It could be started stoped. Maually turned left and right. Manually made to attack and stop. AND THE LEGS MOVED(and the arms when it attacked)

    It was made up of brushes.

    People would get squished in it alot, because of the way the solid surfaces kept moving around and stuff.

    the game was made to allow that walker in that level........
    and i currentl like the red thing, coz if u try with transparent it looks really sucky ive tryed it...... coz u can see all the faces of the glass
    and about the top thingie u sayed.... they are curved.......

    So is this going to be usable or just decorative? If it's usable then, it's not likly to fit well with NS. Especialy since can "use" (as in use key) stuff too.

    Marine: Hey who's using the walker? I thought no one wanted to right now.
    Commander: Huh? No one should be using the walker right now. Would the pilot of walker 036 please inform me of your ID.

    its for decorative purposes only........ i retextured it and added knee-junctions and moved a bit the leg so it looks better (Fam told me to do that, thx <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->)

    wow... this reminds me of the time when i was a... erm... mech-freak! i used to build REALLY advanced mechs that was kinda small, and yet it took about 2 hours to compile them...
    they had a really advanced interior, 3 controllable lasercannons, toggleable headlights, etc.
    seeing this makes me want to start doing it again... heh, i think ill start right away!
    expect some screenies or a downloadable .bsp later... but i dont promise anything...

    Well if you still want to include mechs but dont want to right the code for there movement, you could have the marines stage a defense around a wounded(and therefore imoblizied) mech in certain levels. That way youd only have to code for the pivoting of the cockpit and the weps. It would be a nice last line of defense(a trio of lv. 5's barreled into the marine's CC, knocking away the last few defenders as they came, suddenly, the last surviving marine hops into the badly damaged but still operable mech, bringing the lv. 5's charge to a stop with several rounds of depleted uranium from the mechs lone functioning rail gun, allowing his comrades time to regroup.)

    its only the map files. no bsp, it was to big to include... youll just have to compile it yourself (4mech_final.map). shouldnt take very long. about 1 minute i guess...
    hehe, the avrage wpolys while facing the mech is 800...
    the other file (4mech.map) i included so that you would be able to edit the mechs legs easier...

    that last shot of the mech from the side looks increibly like a daishi (dire wolf) from the mech warrior seris. It juat has big rockets instead of arms.
