but it works out of game
Well, I have a mic (Sidewinder Game Voice) and it works out of game just fine in programs just like Ventrilo. But in-game it is broken.. im pretty sure they said it does nothin or is breakin up like i could barely say A. Is this a probllem with my microphone drivers? Is it a problem with my Half-Life?

It works in Windows, and in the HL setup program. just not in NS 2.0. It was working fine in previous NS games, and I have not changed any audio configurations.
I get a '!' symbol over the speaker icon that pops up when you press the voice button, but no audio... My binds are fine too, I don't get it....

I'm on a DSL, it's not a connection issue, speed issue, hardware issue, this all went to **** when NS2 was installed, so one would imagine it has something to do with it.
Is the problem that you don't transmit AT ALL or is the problem that the transmission is broken up or garbled? Also, does this happen in any other HL mods or just NS?
System specs could possibly be of use here as well.

P4 1.8 ghz
windows xp home

does not work in any other mods. It does transmit. It is just broken up and garbled.
1GB RAM
Win 2K Pro

A2 Platinum
1mbit DSL
HL and Counter Strike my mic is fine, it works. NS2.0 is a no-go.

ARGGGG...
/me takes deep breaths
One person at a time. Atrimus - does it work at all or does it come in broken and garbled? When you depress your push-to-talk key in game, does it show the '\!/" marker on the screen? And as asked previously, do you have any other voice software running and bound to that same PTT key?
Briguy - if it's coming in garbled and broken in all mods, do you know if it has ever worked in game ever? Like via roger wilco or teamspeak?
And please, for the love of god, stop asking for help and simultaneously telling us how you don't need help, Atrimus. Seriously, it's obnoxious and makes us all want to leave you hanging.
Make sure your framerate is at least 20. If it drops below that, you break up, A LOT.

It doesn't work AT ALL, I'm giving you all the info I can, it doesn't work _period_ and it only shows the \!/ while I press the button, when released it goes away. I have NO OTHER VOICE PROGS running.
Regarding the obnoxious stuff, sorry I get aggrivated when I keep seeing questions I've already answered being asked again. There's really nothing else I can tell you about the problem, but it is directly linked to NS2. I 've done all kinds of testing before coming here, comes with the IT background. If we can find a fix, great.
I think both of our characters have been misunderstood, my appologies on my behalf. The sarcastic winks can be left out this time, k?
