Im having trouble setting up a half life dedicated server on a dual cpu board , is there a setting somewhere in half life in configuration files to allow half life to use dual cpu setup? Otherwise hl server starts but people cant join the game. It still shows up in games list though.
If i set affinity of hl.exe to one cpu or the other cpu it runs fine, but id like to take advantage of dual cpu setup to allow for many more players on my server.

As far as I know, Half-Life does not support dual CPUS

However, this should have nothing to do with people unable to connect. Look at your firewall/router. Make sure 27015 is open and, if needed, forwarded to the correct local machine.

I have HLDS running on Dual PIII 800 MHZ board with no issues, and the HLDS process runs on both processes.
The following program might also be of use to you. It allows you to move process around between processors. It can be of great use when trying to load balance.

This is not entirely accurate, if one reads that as "more performance than one cpu". It will juggle the process between multiple processors, but at no time is the program running on more than one simultaneously. That's standard SMP behavior, so windows isn't doing anything special.
Windows cannot magically make a single-threaded program multi-threaded.
Remember, HL only supports up to 32 players. There's hardly a server out there that needs dualie CPUs to handle the load when one powerful CPU could do the trick.
u cannt run a 32 server on any of them
