My 1.0x favorite was the Fade, but since the acid rocket is a 3rd hive ability it kinda sucks for me now. The new blink rocks though <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

My favourite in 2.0 would be the Lerk and Gorge tied at first,they are simply too fun to play

It's a tie between the gorge and the onos. Stomp and devour are just so much fun, but it's also fun laying down the chambers and being fat. I'm always torn between which one to choose. ):

Gorge was my favourite in 1.04, but I got to play it as much as an Onos, due to the whole one/two-gorge-or-die thing.

Well.... I'd say Fade.

Fade with redemption is good with me, as I can rush in, kill one or two marines, redempt, heal, rinse, repeat. And it's so funny to hear marines to say : Tanathos stop BLINKING ! Scaring the crap outta me !
I surprised myself trying to really scare people with cloack and things like that <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

2nd bestest would be the skulk with silence and cloacking. It can KILL !!!

close call between skulk and gorge. with the new cloaking dependancy (every game i've played so far, SC came first) there is nothing quite like seeing a marine practicly step on you and not notice, only to leap on his back when he walks past.... I'm still yet to try the new Onos out. So far my favourite is either the Skulk or Lerk. I just how you can carpet an area with spores. I also like getting silence and cloaking as a skulk, ninja skulks are great <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

Onos, even if I am a tad too cocky when I gain control of it. Finding a merry group of marines, stomping the bunch of them, and then the tricky decision of devour, charge or a good old gore. I'm probably going to avoid using redemption, though. ;P Also worth noting that lerk + DCs is the ultimate in annoyance for the marines.

In 1.04, I loved being fade. Espiecally after I got the hang of blinking, much satisfaction came from teleporting in to the middle of a group of three+ marines and swiping all of the confused fools. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'>

I liked the lerk alot in 1.04.

But my new favourite is the skulk. Yup the skulk, especialy with silence cloke and caraprice. The rines dont even seem to notice me biteing them for ages. Its hilarious <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>

Man this is a tough call. I have to say its a tie between lerk and fade. Lerk, because its new annoyance power is simply beautiful. They cause so much chaos for the marines if you get a couple lerks togerther. And fade, because the new blink is just so friggin sexy. Whoever came up with that idea is a genious.

In 1.04 I was restricted to skulk often, but I used to like gorge in 1.04 but in 2.0 one of my first games i got over 40+ kills as lerk maybe on my 2nd 2.0 game

Onos! because its not just a tank that's used for charging in base for the last 5 minutes of the game now.
Stomp is great for helping out team-mates and letting them close in for the kill, and devour is just plain awesome to use. (remember kiddies! crouching when using devour = works everytime)

And Fade! because its finally vunerable to attacks, a melee class,(no longer an acid-rocketing doom machine) and the fact that the new blink is easier to use, and just great fun.

I gotta say, I love the lerk. Its the ultamate teamplay class.

One tactic I use to great advantage, is relentlessly spam a marine position, till they get so annoyed, they come after me, and dont notice the skulk hiding in the dark corner...

Bunch of HA coming your way? Get an Onos buddy and some skulks. Devour 2 of them, then just stomp the rest.

He can do hive defense, offensive support, defensive support, take quite a few hits, and has the ability to instantly take a marine out of action.

My favorite #1 alien for 2.0 would have to be the Fade.
Not many people really know how to use the new blink, but if you know how to time it right you could make perfect guerilla warfare attacks against marines.
My favorite #1 alien for 1.04 would have to be the (offensive) Gorge.

No three ways about it, the new fade RULES. The blink is so increadably awesome, its not even funny. Slap that beast with Regen, ANY movement upgrade, (They all rock the house. Adren for three hives and acid rocket spamming, celerity for ungodly speed, and silence... well silence is just damn fun.) and cloaking or scent of fear, and I have found that almost no marine not in HA will live long.

I also like the Lerk, once the aliens have two hives a lerk with regen and adren making good use of spores and umbra can wreak some major havock with a few oni.

The gorge is also fun, I've found myself often saving up as a skulk and slapping down 90 res worth of hives and buildings in one fell swoop. Really helps the the team out, and thats always good for me.

I like the skulk, but not very much latter in the game. With my 56k modem I CANNOT kill a marine before getting pwned. The only time I really use skulk latter is with the three hives and xenocide. God xeno is a blast... <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>

in 1.04 it was the fade and onos
But after playing ns 2.0 virtually all the time sicne tis release minus sleeping,eating and posting here ive realised the fade completly sucks now

But the changes to the onos is great and after figuring out how to devour 99% of the time is my new best friend. P.s. the lerk also owns now, spore and spikes are great fun <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'>
