<div class="IPBDescription">isbecause marines play NS like CS and...</div> 1st. - I hate alien stacking. stacking aliens and screaming "build sensories first" is lame.
2nd. - I hate discussions about what chamber first or second is best, especially when you say it in general or after 2 seconds of a new game. THERE IS NO BEST FIRST/SECOND chamber if there is any existing teamwork.

<b> HOW TO COUNTER SENS FIRST (to stop all the alien stacking):</b>

- <b>Early Observatory:</b>
At first, your 3rd structure as comm needs to be an observatoy, if you think aliens have many gorges or build sens frst (like in almost any public game thats a fact) .
Dont build 2 IPs or one armory early game.
- <b>Early Scanning:</b>
When you have it scan resnodes in the middle of the map, or the doubleres, or a nearby hive.
Scanner sweeps dont cost res. They cost 25 energy that reloads up to 100 slowly.
-<b> Gorge hunting: </b>
Now you KNOW more or less how many gorges they have and were what chambers are.
When you see 2 gorges near rine spawn undefended make all your rines go gorge hunting AS GROUP and drop a second ip.
When it succeeds you got a big advantage. Ive seen aliens F4ing because of 2 killed gorge and 1 losr RT and one lost SC many times. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
If theres no huntable gorge use your knowledge to ambush elsewere.
-<b> No Ramboing and no rushing: </b>
If you see sens first make it CLEAR that you dont want to see ramboing. Build squads and say "They have Sens. If you rambo you are dead. I dont support rambos running into cloaked mouths" Hopefully you get teamwork then.
Make your players wait for each other if they are intelligent enough.
-<b> Slowly Pushing Forward and falling back. </b>
With sens first no alien can holf off a group of your half team anywere. Now that you doont support ranbos, support the team with AMMO and medpacks, but only as long as there are 3 rines alife. if not say "Fall back guys. no chance. You get no more health"
-<b> More Scanning. </b>
Bind the obs with "squad one" ("crounch" + "1") and do scanner sweeps each time rines move into the next room. Uncloaked aliens are always ****. cloaked aliens can kill anything easily.
Build a second and third observatory if you need more scanner sweeps. Build observatories in every important room, bind them to a squad if you want.
-<b> Turrets and electrify owns cloaking. </b>
Make turrets at every location you like. Also use phasegates or electifiing. cloaked aliens are **** by turret farms, early game. Dont forget this changes a bit later game.
-<b> Cross Fire and Leapfrogging. </b>
No alien team can survive good cross fire. It works best on ns_veil and ns_eclipse.
It just means leapfrogging from one bend/crossing to the next bend/crossing always covering each other or looking along a long straight hallway. The only way to counter crossfire are organisated outflanks and blinking. Dont forget to drop ammo for your marines as long as thez do this good.
-<b> Search Sensory Chambers: </b>
Worst thing that happens is you secured a room build resnodes but you did not find the sensory chamber.
There is also 3 cloaked players in that room, maybe 2 gorges, just waiting for reinforcement.
when you have secured a resnode WALK AROUND everywere. and shoot in upper places (pipes) If anything invisible blocks you shoot it and prepare for hell because they might all uncloak at once with reinforcements coming soon.
When you missed a sensory chamber or/and a cloaked gorge you can not secure that room with 30 turrets or 5 ha for a long time. Ive seen marines many times being secure that resnode is theirs, they lost it in one minute.
-<b> Comunicate: </b>
You must tell your team were structures and cloaked stuff is, as exact as possible to destroy that sensory fast next time.

thats all you need to counter sens first, and ppl that have intelligense/ dint like CSthat much.

hopefully they do more automization on using scanner sweeps. clicking the obs all the time means:
klick minimap, and search obs.
klick obs, and maybe another obs because that one ihas no energy.
klick scanning.
klick minimap.
search a place to scann and klick the 5th time EVERY scanning.

<b>I want a hotkey or use no more than 2 klicks to scan.</b>

    You forgot taking out the knife and just running around holding the fire button hoping to stumble onto a sensory chamber.     Click obs
    Hotgroup obs

    Then you just hit #,a,click

    Using a squad for the obs is good.
    Auto centering on the obs sucks.
    it sould be automated more.
    It exchanges 2 klicks with a hotkey and adds some waiting time till its centered/selected.

    Actually the knifing around thing is useless when they build up on pipes like he was saying, last night on caged they had aux gen sens'd and we didnt find the chamber till we had swapped the node a few times cuz it was up on the pipe that goes directly over the node.

    The hotkeys don't autocenter unless the item is already selected.
