2.01 Needed Asap

<div class="IPBDescription">Marines are way too good.</div> This post is not a n00b rant. It has facts instead of "what ifs".

The short version:
HAs need to cost more, say, 30 res a piece.
Shotguns need a good damage nerf. I have seen people killing way more with shotguns than HMGs.
Turret Sentry needs to be a less accurrate or have less life, and
Offense chambers need either to cost 5 res or have way more life.

The long version:

I played roughly 30 games of NS 2.0 so far. ~20 on the alien team, ~10 on the marine team.

What I have experienced: Marine buildings (mostly turrets) are way too good, and the alien buildings are way too fragile.

Playing as a marine, there were countless times were I killed 3+ offense chambers by just shooting and hiding behind a wall, without the need of medpaks.

I'm yet to see a skulk kill ANY turret alone while 3 turrets shoot at him. Aliens have NO effective way of destroying turret farms until you get gorges with bilebomb, which isn't that great.

The worst thing is, bilebomb needs to be damn close to hit something. Gorges are probably going to get hurt, A LOT, just to fire a single bilebomb, unless of course they are doing it from a higher place were the turrets cannot see (a vent for example.)

But a marine only needs his standart lmg do cause some seriours resource damage on the aliens.

Stalemates are still not over. Far from it. I was playing a game on ns_nothing where the marine team realocated to the engine hive. We had 4 onos, 3 fades, and 2 gorges. They had nothing but 3 ips, armory, cc, and a turret factory eletrified with around 12 turrets. Guess what? Stalemate. We couldnt go in, they couldnt go out. Use gorges with bilebomb? We tried, but, bilebomb range is way too short, it never did any serious damage. If the gorges tried to get closer they died in 1 second. Literally.

Once as a onos, I was running back to the hive to heal, I had 250/60 life. A jetpacker with a shotgun lvl 3 shot me twice and I died. It sucks waiting around 15 minutes the res to go onos just to die that easy. Shotguns are getting the nicknames of "n00b cannons" around the internet, so I don't think I'm the only one that thinks they are way too good.

Why are HA's faster now? And Onos are slower? Onos cost is way too high, he needs to be GOOD to be worth its res. Stomp would be good if not by the fact that after the second stomp you don't have any adrenaline left to either use Gore or Stomp again, making you easy pray of that couple of HAs+HMGs. And I don't mean GOOD by being able to survive one single HA+HMG. I mean tough by beating at least TWO HAs+HMG without a serious problem(can also be read as with over 33% life), but have trouble with 3 or more of them. Its not like its easy to get 100 res in the first place!

Also, tech rushing is stronger than ever. In 1.04, you could kill the resource towers before they extracted enough resources to pay themselves. You see, it takes a single marine to build it, but after its eletrified, it needs either a second hive or lots of aliens to kill it. But you only need a single marine to kill a RT with 2 offense chambers defending it. Balanced? Don't think so.

Its an overall refreshing game but really unbalanced, mostly for the cheap, improved (faster[HA], tougher[Turret farms] or stronger[Turret farms!]) marine equipment.

Marines were slightly better than aliens in 1.04. In 2.0, marines got a huge boost, and the aliens got an ok boost. Its time to make cheap things "ok" (shotguns) and expensive things GREAT (Onos)

Maybe extra hives could give aliens a life boost, say, 15% more life for 2 hives, 25% more life for 3 hives.
