    Make sure you have your ident server enabled, and something entered for the user ID (doesnt matter what). If your getting an error msg or some such it'd be handy to post that here as well.

    IN the options dialouge under connect, you have to fill in the email adress with something that is like an email (cant describe it better <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    Like : omg@hax.tbh or something similiar

    What ever your email address is, it has to be lowercase. For example.
    If it was Impy_The_Lerk@SomeSite.Net
    Use impy_the_lerk@somesite.net <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Theres your problem, 192.168.0.3 is the local IP your router assigns your computer so it can connect to the router instead of the intrweb.
    So your router is broadcasting an invalid ip, and when gamesnet trys to search that ip for your ident details it doesnt find them because its your router..not your computer.
    (Forgive the repetitive nature of the above paragraph its early and I havent had any coffee yet)

    Your best bet is to enable DMZ on your router.
    *****WARNING*****
    Enabling DMZ opens your computer directly to the internet, and if you have a static IP address that means that if anybody did somehow want to hack you it would be _exceptionally_ easy. Software firewalls are also not an option as they block the incoming/outgoing data from your router, and theres too many ports to open..or if you did open them it would make having a firewall pointless....

    So, to enable DMZ login to your router (on my computer type my local ip address which is the 192.168.0.3 bit into a web browser and login) and look under NAT configuration (again I am working from my routers setup here yours may be slightly differant) Enable DMZ state, and in the DMZ IP Address section type in the IP of your computer (again 192.168.0.3), reboot the router and hopefully that should work.

    This is however still not 100% because I, although not having problems connecting to irc, have problems DCCing files to anyone, and the DMZ change didnt help me. But give it a try, if it doesnt work make sure you disable it again.

    If you're in desperate need to get on irc theres plenty of web based clients out there too <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->
