The reason server files are getting shipped early is so there are servers immiedietly avaible after downloading, but I guess we don't want that now, do we :|

That's terribly sad, but Flayra will release it whenever he pleases. Which in this case is Thursday afternoon.
Firstly, its gone gold...meaning its finished (release version).
Secondly, mirrors usually download from a central source, and then put the file onto their own ftp..
But it's already "tomorrow" in a lot of places. And when the 6pm est release time (rumoured) rolls round, it'll be the day after for a large number of countries. But nm! As long as Americans get it, all is well in the world!
Now about the hive web....did it get more powerful or something....

Yes, because everyone has nothing else to do than stay up all night.
Is it so hard to believe that when NS2.0 is released at that time it will be at night. Most people sleep at night and as such won't be able to get it until 6-7 hours later. Possibly more. It should have been released at the first time to clock over to the 31st (their nighttime, around 7:00) so that everyone will get it on the 31st (and the Americans would get it equivalently if they were up at night on the 30thish).
This doesn't include the fact that many will have work (when NS is released by NZ time I will have university anyway).

Now I'm trying to figure this stuff out, since I'm using PST time, and Flayra might be releasing around 6PM EST on the 31st, that means maybe it'll be 1PM for me when it's out. Unless my clock is wrong, it says it's 9PM on the 30th today. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
And no, don't push. Flayra probably wants to release it on the 31st for:
1)Numerical signficance.
2)To give a signifcant amount of time between client and server release.
3)Principle. He gave a very near date, and he will neither shorten it, OR lengthen it(unless there is problems).
4)Emergency fallback. If a significant bug suddenly showed up, too significant a bug, even 1 hour before release, Flayra would be able to pull the plug and fix it.
Who knows? You might even be dissapointed in 2.0 when it comes out (ya right) and will look back on the pre-release wait for perfection as a better time.
