Yes, we have times. You do not though

Everyone - please stop asking for specific times. We are not going to be handing them out. The date and timeframe we gave already is what you are going to get. Just sit back and relax and be patient, and try and lay off the SunnyD.

6pm EST is the beginning of the NS 2.0 real-life release party, being held at the Adrenaline Zone in Boston, MA (USA).

1.0 was released around 4pm EST, if I recall correctly. I have no estimates for the release time of 2.0.

Can i just ask, is whatever release time you've chosen a non-ridiculous time for us English. Some of us are dying for NSv2.0 but have to work the next day. And having it released at 1-2am or something (on the 1st, i might add) is a bit annoying.

Ok, let me put it this way. Is it worth taking a day off work, if I get home at 5pm EST?
If I'm at home I can help with the BitTorrent sharing.

You are asking us to call in sick that day and not get paid so that we can accomodate your timezone, at the expense of 95% of our playerbase (those in North, Central, and South America, plus Asia and Oceania). Sorry, not happening, greedy old world colonialist running-dogs ... besides, Europe is totally CS dominated, we are not yet a major player there. Yet!

It's simple, really. Flay will *sleep* on Wednesday night (EST). Either that, or he will be coding last-minute fixes like a tiny crazed monkey hopped up on Sunny-D and caffeine tabs. On Thursday, he will be running around like a lerk with its head cut off, organizing mirrors, sending out press to gaming sites, making sure everything is organized for the release party, and more.

Please respect that Flay is NOT The Bionic Man, and does have normal human needs like sleep, food, and corn flakes. Please also respect, therefore, that NS 2.0 may not release at a time that is most convenient for people on the other side of the planet.

Fine! We're gonna come over and AWP yo' ayasss bizzatch!

Er, i got lost somewhere there.

SunnnnnyyDDDD.

EDIT:
Coil, i'm well aware that Flay & co. aren't going to make special exceptions or put themselves out to what is just a "minority fanbase", but from MonsE's post it seemed to me that he was egging on that they have a set time and so on for the release. All i'm asking that, if possible, that some consideration may possibly be taken for us who aren't in America.

Uh, I would hope so... from the looks of it Flayra has a few months of back sleep to catch up on, at least.

Uhm My all seeing eye says differently;

North America 191 servers
Europe 164 servers

But I agree trying to accomodate the European timezone would be stupid.
I have not trouble waiting for a couple of hours

Not to argue with you (which you know by now is pointless - I will get irritated and remove you posting rights eventually ), but your list of servers does not mean anything about players. Nor is your list even remotely complete or accurate. Notr do you have stats on player originations like we do.

So please, shush.
