<div class="IPBDescription">would it be alright if...</div> I think it would be fun to post the various exploits for our final day of 1.04. I'd love to try the leap exploit and others. Of course if a mod feels this is inaproppriate, then I will have no qualm with this post being deleted.

    Building in inaccessible areas too. You don't even need /stuck for some of the dodgiest ones.

    lol, I had the same idea......I just fired up a LAN server and tried the comm build exploit...I wont use it in a public server though, even if it IS the last day.
    I dont know any others...

    Before 1.04 you could type stopcommandermode in the Ready Room and you would get a gun in there.

    isnt there an impulse which gives leap without the energy drain?
    infinite leap anyone?

    (im taking a guess at impulse 19... maybe impulse 116... impulse 275) who knows...?

    I see no harm in listing exploits, but I don't feel right about posting how to do them(not until ns 2.0 is out anyways)... You can allways back up your ns directory when installing ns 2.0 and try the exploits(on lan with only yourself or friends!).

    here's the ones I know of:

    -leap exploit(illegally leaping without using energy or making noise)
    -charge exploit
    -flash light exploits to get ammo faster and build faster
    -hiding the view model so you don't have to see your muzzle flash or teeth etc
    -stopcommandermode exploit(fixed as of 1.04). Did allow people in ready room to shoot and aliens to look like marines and pickup marine stuff as well as fire guns.

    Don't know if this is an exploit but it seems like it, leaping/charging on structers from above causing massive damage. HA can be killed in 2 3 leaps if he is still but this is hard to do. This will be fixed I hope? This is fps dependent, higher fps = better.

    a few annoying bugs that are being deliberatly exploited: jet pack lets you fly indefinetly if you have a high framerate(gives greater boost so you don't need to use it as much). In vents and when crouched in corners marines can be allmost unhitable by bite, this will be fixed in 2.0 I hear. You build structures faster with a higher framerate(at least marines do). You can build structures in areas you cannot normally reach and get there by ip/pg(don't know if this requires abusing the stuck plugins that some servers run). Acid rockets can be shot through thin walls by standing close to the wall(In a few locations this is very deadly).

    No, he was referring to the way Leap does much more damage if you have a higher FPS. He said himself he didn't really consider it an exploit.

    only exploit that is worth mentioning are the flashlight ones, building especially :/
