If it's by Tarantino, you cant go wrong. "I just shot Marvin in the face." So violent, so stylish. The old samurai lookin dude made me laugh when he jumped on her sword.

he has a reputation for violence, but alot of it is implied violence. Kill Bill will be fantastic because tarentino is one of the greatest directors of post-modern movies ever. Not to mention he has brillant taste in music.

Anyway sorry to digress, yeh his films arent that violent, its all implied. When he shoots marvin in the face its off screen. When he does that passage from the bible and Samual L Jackson and John Travolta shoot the kid, the cut away from it with a fade in fade out to orange. In Resovior Dogs the scene everyone remembers of him cutting off the police mans ear to Bob Dylan music, once again they pan away. Its all implied violence. Its more intelligant and serves the plot and devleopment of the characters. It doesnt matter marvin got shot in the face whats important is the expression on John Travolta's face.

Just annoys me so much when they critize admirable film for being violent.

neway, yeh go Kill Bill.

Pardon me? Implied? Did you see True Romance? There was bleeding and burning flesh, and innocent people dying all over the place. And you saw all of it.

Uma Thurman is one sexy woman. I remember seeing this trailer about maybe 2 or 3 months ago and was in complete awe(sp?). Then read a bit about it and heard how they were gonna probably get an NC-17 rating cuz of all the supposed "dead bodies and blood and gore". Then having to read that maybe it will be split into 2 parts cuz its too long.

Whatever happens I'll be sure to watch it when it comes out. Tarantino movies are so much more than just movies. They're a full on experience that sticks with you for a LONG time. Can't wait for this one.

i call them orgasm 1, orgasm 2, orgasm 3, and i couldn't hold out until it's released in october.. so orgasm 4.

... tarantino films aren't gratuitously violent. why is there even any reason to talk about it? people didn't complain about SPR, but that's only because it was in historical context... does that even MATTER? i mean, the treads on the tiger were so thin, it was comPLETEly obvious that the shell was modeled onto what was originally a T34!!!!

wait, what?

lol. but yeah.

edit: holy CRAP why did i say 72...

Looking forward to this actually. I'm a big fan of Tarantino, although in many ways I prefer movies he was involved in that were actually directed by other people.

( "From Dusk till Dawn", and especially "True Romance", surely one of the greatest movies of the 90's. Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken, James Gandolfini and Samuel L. Jackson ! Quite a cast for a relatively low budget crime flick.. )

Ok you nubcakes time to clear up some things.

1.) Tarentino did not direct or write the screen play for From Dusk till Dawn, he only made a cameo (he helped produce the movie that's all)
2.)YES he did work on True Romance, I don't know why people never remember this, it was a great movie
3.) he also did NOT direct or write Desperado (again a cameo only)

and finally these are his credits as follows

Pulp Fiction wrote/directed
Resevoir Dogs wrote/directed
Jackie Brown wrote/directed
True Romance screenplay (had to confirm that one)
Room 4 in the movie Four Rooms wrote/directed (go rent it...and you call yourself a fan...pfft)
Curdled wrote the screenplay (haven't even heard of this one huh?)

that is all, thank you.
