<div class="IPBDescription">DONT COMPLAIN!</div> This post could be considered pointles, but looking at the general discussion board right now I can see several threads which are certainly less useful than this one (not to name any names....), so here I go.

I just want everyone to remember that when 2.0 comes out, it will not be perfect. It will probably be mind-bogglingly brilliant, but not perfect.

There will be bugs. How do I know? Because it's Murphy's law of programming.

There will certainly be exploits; pubbers are very good at finding these, possibly even more so than PTs. And I don't mean that as an insult, I just mean that PTs simply wouldn't consider doing some of the things that a pubber wouldn't hesitate to.

For example; I bet when 1.0 was being playtested there were no CC walls. I bet there were no totem-pole-esque marine bases, or vertical walls-of-lame built so that gorges could reach vents.

2.0 will almost certainly be less buggy than 1.0 was, but what with all the changes there are bound to be a few gremlins lurking (no, not lerking.... i'll shut up now) in the dark recesses of the game's code.

Just bear with the devs, they know what they're doing. They will make everything allright. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    The devs have allready made me happy; Skulks have an easier time ingame thanks to numorous exploit fixes and bug fixes. So I'm happy as anything <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> In theory, at least. I have faith in what they are doing, as allready ns1.04 is brilliant (minus bugs), 2.0 can only improve on that in my opinion.

    I'd just like to add, can we all make a promise to play at least 50 games on each side before screaming "<b>BALANCE</b>"! Because until we have played at least that many games we really wont have a clue.

    So I dont expect to hear that word until August, ok?

    Yes, we all must try to rememeber that we have waited months for this and now that its here, lets not ruin all of Flayra, the Dev Team, the PTs and Vet's hard work to bring us this awesome game. Point out any bugs of course, but don't forget its not going to be anything like 1.0x so don't get upset or turned off by the new style of game play! Enjoy the game and make sure to thank Everyone who made this game happen!!!

    Trust me after months of playtesting you will not be disappointed. PTs, Vets, and Devs have worked hard on this... very hard. We have gone through many interesting builds and patches throughout the entire time to get this release to be how it is. Give it up for Flayra and the Devs... *claps*

    tested for 2.0. In fact if you have the cash to build these. More power to you. also building stuff on top of each other is harder to do now.

    There's probably no quicker way to discourage/anger/infuriate someone than to criticize their work without even taking the time to experience or understand it. I agree with the '50 games' idea.

    Also, please realize that because blink is different, and lerk-bite is gone, and many other things have changed in your favorite game, that there may be a small inclination to, shall we say, throw a temper tantrum/pity party. Please don't do this. Make sure you fully experience the 2.0 goodness before crying out "OMG 1.043 was teh bett0r!!!11 2.0 is teh sux!!!111one" I had to remind myself of this several times upon learning of changes such as 3-hive acid rockets and the demise of ns_nancy. It's a cold, hard world out there. Take it like a man (or woman, which ever you prefer).

    Also remember that the tactics that worked in 1.04 won't necessarily work in 2.0 so don't fly off the handle and say they ruined a certain class just because you're not as good at it as you were before. We're all gonna need some time to adapt, so let's wait on complaining. Perhaps a 2 week moratorium on whining about the game on these boards? (that'll never happen <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    Every single thing that truly bothered me about 1.04 is fixed now. Even if there are a few extra bugs that didn't exist before, it wouldn't nearly offset the improvements. After the devs' vacation, those bugs will be addressed anyways.
