<div class="IPBDescription">Concept... "art"?</div> Hello everyone! I was just browsing through some firearms when I got an idea! (And THATS a miracle!... 'Cause.. ya know... small Brain and whatnot?)

So, I opened up MS PAINT (Nah - just kidding. Paintshop pro..) and I quickly Hacked and doodled for under 10 minutes, and what I came up with is this:

All it is, is a new "frame" of a weapon, with the barrel of my Shotgun underneath it. I'm still trying to figure out where the Magazine will go for the rifle-ly looking-thingy at the top. Heck - as I type this I'm getting some new ideas...

Well, here it is folks, "Girtrude 1" <!--emo&::nerdy::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/nerd.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='nerd.gif'><!--endemo-->

Thanks for your time,
-Sid

P.S. Rants/Raves?

Woah! That was quick! Okay - here's Mark 2.

    Better?

(What I did here was, touched it up a bit, added a new rifle barrel (Anothe rone of mine from an earlier concept) and iron sights... and a bit here and there.) <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Rants/Raves?
    Suggestions/Blackmail?

Anyways, thanks for your time again,
    -Sid

Interesting.. but why always 2 barrels?
  • SidSid Corwid of the Free Join Date: 2003-01-28 Member: 12903Members, Constellation
One is a shotgun, the other is the primary rifle. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I don't know...doesn't seem entirely right-looking.

    /me shrugs.

I must admit; it is an odd one. Hell - I bet that even if you fired the shotgun, you'd blow off half the gun.

Oh, and PanzerOx - good idea!
  • SidSid Corwid of the Free Join Date: 2003-01-28 Member: 12903Members, Constellation
    Alright, hows this?

By the way - the magazine is internal, and the shotgun is breach-loaded.
  • StriderStrider Join Date: 2003-05-04 Member: 16056Members
stock should be longer and the barrels a bit shorter. maybe get rid of one of the barrels or add something in between the two so it doesn't look like the bottom one was taped on loosely.

Alright - I'll get right on that

it looks like you placed the scope over the bullet ejecter.

the bullet ejector looks like it it's at the corner of the top, rather than the center.

the way it's pictured makes it look like it's directly under the scope. Ah, the downsides of 2D artwork :-/

it wud be good if one model does most of the weapons like when u switch to pistol u get the pistol to work on it, lmg etc. u get what i mean <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> so when u pick up that item u get weapon upgrades for it.

Interesting Idea... but just imagine all those barrels! And all... how big it would be! And all the magazines! yech! You' probably have to be in some sort of 'Mech to use it, lol. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Looks like you could attach the clip to that rectangle thingy at the bottom. If that's too cliche, why not slot the clip into that area in the center of the arm brace? The only problem with that design is, it would be somewhat clunky trying to change a clip in the middle of combat.

there already is a clip, behind the pump. it's that little thing sticking out the bottom - it's like that so the clip can reach the top barrel

    Exactly!

I may have to move the ejector a bit forward... but you get the point.

The Shotgun is breach-loaded, where as the rifley bit has a 50 round internal magazine. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
  • FoggyFoggy Join Date: 2002-11-22 Member: 9620Members
50 rounds? Either that's a giant gun or they're very, very small bullets.
  • SidSid Corwid of the Free Join Date: 2003-01-28 Member: 12903Members, Constellation
Look at the LMG magazine for the default NS... thats a bit small, too!

Now, Remember - it's the future, and they may be using compact bullets. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
And besides, It's a "light" machinegun... which means... it's light.... and... stuff... *cough* SO THERE! <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Looks Great! just a question Whats this? possible flashlight maybe? AH, something new! Make that part a welder instead of flashlight!
  • SidSid Corwid of the Free Join Date: 2003-01-28 Member: 12903Members, Constellation
A welder? I don't know - thats pushing it a litte... besides, where would the 'Welding' canisters go?

You've got to remember that this Weapon is mostly a hack-job. What I did was "Cut n' paste" diffrent barrels of my concepts together (The rifle and Shotgun barrels come from two of my concepts) and added a new "frame" to it.

That 'Barrwl' that you see on the shotgun, under it's main barrel, was a request from a forum member to try and make my shotgun model look like the SPAS. Anyways, it's mostly there for decoration, but I Suppose I could make it into something.... interesting thought, there.

make it so it has a laser coming outa it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
  • SidSid Corwid of the Free Join Date: 2003-01-28 Member: 12903Members, Constellation
    Okay, yeah - that works!
  • SidSid Corwid of the Free Join Date: 2003-01-28 Member: 12903Members, Constellation
Okay, here ya go. THis version has the brass ejector moved forward to line up witht he magazine, and a "laser" spot coming out of the Laser Targetting device.

Credit to Liku for the laser itself. (I just swiped it off of one of my concepts that she coloured.)

    Rants/Suggestions? <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
