Yeah it doesn't fit with NS, but hell i commend Ollj for coming up with some quality, yet wacky stuff. keep it up bro

Yeah, this is NS, not Super Mario. What keeps the majority playing is the game itself, not this "niche stuff". That keeps a small group playing, but the majority are held in by NS itself and it's gameplay.

And I don't feel that I'm owed anything at all.

Hey! I take offense to that. I made that really quick for {DEAD}Scotts fun map contest. I've been working on it a bit and will be done when It's done. I added alot of stuff to it too. Now 2 people have stolen my idea. come up with your own ideas if you want to make retro games for ns maps. NS does not need 3 different mario maps. Do megaman or zelda or even sonic. But argh.

Changed the pipes shape. theyre now thicker and an onos can only pass them crounching. Thats better than making him stuck or let him see the void.
Fades could still shoot trough though its more dificoult.

noone can build in them or on the pipe entrances.
It causes less leafes (more square) maybe less entities and more w_poly (to make it unable to build in it).

Have you ever heard of ns_itsame? That was a mario themed NS map that was used in the Flaytona 500 which was, I think, back in April 2002. Sorry, but it's been done before.

Wow lol! I don't know what to say. just this map is going to be very popular.
This isn't going to be about winning tho, if many players play this map, just to explore the 3d-mario world, perhaps kill a few skulks, then die. fun!
good job!

then stop making foolish posts sir. I love the game and i very much respect other peoples likes and desires for something different. Don't step on other peoples dreams if they conflict with your own.

lol, but you could have linked the img from the artworks thread instead of posting it again. ollj is already wasting so much forum space with his pics
But, yeah it really rocks, this super mario map.

Inafiscisis is even smaller.

*feels ashamed for big fat avatar*
Not bad, quite a nice compression.
*wonders how much MB the 'post-your-screenshot' thread takes*

Well, take this thread as an example. It is four pages.

66022
112008
81337
47398
32449
55329
35764
8284
27821
42667
75791
105278
56579
9065
49857
26698
33680
39252
37040
43142
+12250
-----------
997711

That is 0.97711 mb for four pages (edit: 5 pages now).
The 'post-your-screenshot' thread is 28 pages.
now, if calculated very roughly that should mean it should take an estimated 55871816 bytes (55mb).
So I'd say around 50 megabytes.

It is of course impossible to make this kind of comparison, but if you know a better way, please, speak up.

If anyone somehow has managed to get even more spare time than me, please take the time to check it.
