<div class="IPBDescription">The background story</div>Here's the background story for the 28th regiment, i hope u like it and that i written it in line with the world story.
(i kept the 6 days in... story in mind, coz i written this before it was published and intended it to let the 28th be the 1st regiment that came upon the aliens. But as usuall i wasnt fast enough with posting it <!--emo&???--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='???'><!--endemo--> )

<b>The 28th regiment is the first new regiment the TSA formed after the discovery of the Alien Hives,
the Regiment was formed out of the survivors of the Military Prisoner ship "Marana".
It has fought for nearly 10 years now and is by far the best Anti-Alien Regiment there is,
it has the most experience in battle and the most seasoned troops.

<b>The Marana</b>

The Marana (or Prison ship #12936-B) was en route to the Plammartu Prison when it encountered
an unidentified alien ship. On board of the prison ship where offenders of various crimes, from murder to petty crimes.
The Marana's Captain, Maj. Blighter, ordered a thorough search of the vessel. The Ships Prison Guard Boarded
the ship but never came back, the captain ordered to tow the vessel into the Ships Dock. After that all
communication with the ship stopped. The TSC send the 118th to investigate
there they encountered the ship empty, only but a few prisoners who fought the hive where still alive.
Noone knows what happened on the Marana but the survivors them selves, and they swore to take
it in there grave.


<b>The Officers</b>

<b>TheTroops</b>

Although the troops have been formed out of the surviving prisoners (some with hing sentence's)
they where all selected on endurance, hatred for the hive and cooperation.
Only the best of the best fight in the 28th and it already has a reputation for thinking casually about
the Hive and its fleets.


<b>Battles fought</b>

The most Famous campaign was the Undalia campaign, taking over 1 year it was the biggest cleaning
operation so far, the 28th had to clear various hijacked space ships and the planet Polary it self.
The rest of the "encounters" are spread over time and took place on various locations;
the montaria mines, the space freighter "the glory" and Outpost #10383-T are some of em.
As colonel Willow says: "The idiots at TSA HQ think that this is just another picknick out in the woods,
but listen to me; there are alot more where these few hive fleets came from. I seen a marine get gutted
by one of the pests, so dont come to me when the main fleet comes pounding in. Where just here
to kill em."
