Product comparison. As you can see, the pixel fillrate on the pro is better ( not by a whole lot), and so are engine and memory clocks. Otherwise, they're pretty much the same. I'd suggest getting the pro if you have the money to buy it.

Sure the numbers are different. Both unless you run games over 1600x1200 with the highest settings and every effect turned on, you won't see much of a difference frame rate wise. The "pro" edition are just for those who have money to burn and those all too willing to buy the best. It is also used for real professionals in game, film, and graphics design. It is released only because the tech. was possible. Do you wallet a favor, and just get the regular. You will not be dissappointed.

yeah, I decided to go with a 2.8GHz instead of 2.6, the system is coming with 256MB of ram, however I'll be adding another 256MB shortly after I get it. So it looks like I'll be set for a while. Thank God, I was about to go nuts in putting up with this damned voodoo 5.

Seeing as how the min specs require a Radeon 7xxx gen card, I'd say a 9800 pro would run it perfectly. Might want to look into getting some more RAM, however.
