<div class="IPBDescription">Computer games that is...</div>Have you ever waited months for a game's release, rushed out to buy it then rushed home only to find it sux?
I'll start the ball rolling...
Dark Reign II, a very poor attempt at 3D RTS, no anti-aliasing and poor controls.
Carmageddon II, didn't work with my Voodoo card and featured lego style pedestrians.

WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RTCW was one of the best games ever in my opinion, Both in SP and MP. What did you find wrong with it?

Messiah looked unfreakingbelievable at the Game Developer's Conference for a few years in a row. Huge rooms full of gawk-eyed developers, it was stunning. Then it came out and it looked nothing like it did then (not to mention some of the production values were questionable). I'm still not sure what happened.
I agree about Messiah though, I bought it on a Monday and returned on the Wednesday … hehe … an ok game and my money back <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->
And Project IGI, the respawning did shaft that game but gladly they’ve sorted that out for the sequel, or so they say and I’d back that up but ohhh no my group of beta testers don’t get to play the SP … grumble grumble.
Whoa! What game are you referring to?

Heh ... sorry, I couldn't bring myself to type the name. Max Payne.
<b>Me sends out subliminal message: I hate it BTW.</b>
But it wasn’t ... I could rant about it for days.
The so-called story (which was one continuous cliché) wasn’t involving, didn’t make me care about the character in any way. It made me want to kill him so he’d shut up with the horrible mixed metaphors and ###### one liners.
The ‘amazing’ graphics are decidedly underwhelming. And bullet time ... don’t even get me started.
Grrm ... check out the <a href="http://www.planethalflife.com/manah/images/articles/articles.htm" target="_blank">'Gimmick or Revolution?'</a>article at my site for more of my ranting over Mr Payne.
The game was really nice, the villagers were cool and your conscience was tha bomb. But the damn game was just not really fun.
I'll have to agree with you on B&W, I can't put my finger on what I didn't like exactly but I just got sick of it after about a month.

My personal MDG is definetely C&C3. I was all hyped about it, couldn't wait to see it in action, and then, and this was the mistake, did so <!--emo&:(--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/sad.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':('><!--endemo-->
Bad graphics, bad gamebalancing, the definetely worst storyline ever (if you're going to call this assemblance of dramaturgic loopholes 'story' ), and all this combined with a price 20% higher than was usual at the time.
- Tresspasser
- Unreal 1
- Black & White
- Diablo II (becuase I bought it and it wouldn't read the CD in my CD-ROM!)
- C&C: Tiberian Sun
- Red Alert 2
- Daikatana
- Every Bioware game including NWN
